Not sure what your issue is with the gear selector. I actually love it and so do all Merc owners, far more intuitive and easy to use than having it in the middle console. Don't even need to take your hand off the steering wheel to change the gear.
@@DhruvDrives Brother, some of the most luxurious cars in the world have the shifter like this, look at Rolls-Royce who do the same or dedicated luxury limousines that have it as well. Mercedes reintroduced it from their old luxury cars since late 2005 in the W221 S-class. You personally don't like it, which is fair, buts it's certainly a luxurious feature, appreciated a lot by Mercedes owners.

@@AOTanoos22 it feels like an afterthought and it is very cheap. A column shifter doesn’t belong in a luxury sedan in my opinion
