These guys were robbed - they’re outstanding musicians and showmen in my opinion and it’s a shame they didn’t blow up. Zal, the guitarist is still going with his band the Sin Dogs. Worth a look.
Bought my first Alex Harvey record in 1972 purchased every record after that. Alex voice becomes very endearing over time I just love it. He's so unique and so great.
Hi Prairie Hawker ... Thank you for your comment. Please check out my reaction to Amos Moses if you have not done so already. A very different version then the original by Jerry Reed. Keep rockin' ...
That video you're watching is a fan edit, using the studio track and syncing it to the live footage. The song was one that Alex wrote before he met the rest of the band (formerly known as Tear Gas), and it was the very first song the band ever played together.

Hi Todd, I don't know whether you're aware, but Alex had a younger brother, Les, who was lead guitarist in a band called "Stone The Crows", with lead singer Maggie Bell, known as the British Janis Joplin. like Janis, Les is a member of the 27 club, he was electrocuted on stage in 1972.
Alex was a great artist and the band were terrific. I saw them many times in Scotland. Zal Cleminson was the lead guitarist and the clown face was his hallmark. They were really a great live band. 🙋♂️🏴🇬🇧 I had a live solo album by Alex around 1964 called “Alex Harvey live at the Star Club Hamburg”. Was really good. You should try to check it out.
Hi Mike ... Thank you for the information. You had wonderful opportunities to see Alex live. Very cool! I will add the Star Club concert to my list. Enjoy ...
You're so right about them screwing up the lipsyncing... They sent it up like they sent everything up. Their little three-man rocking back and forward onto the speakers was also deliberately and obviously sloppy, like they were protesting at having to mime.
great song, great band

Thanks for covering this song. Pretty much anything by SAHB is worth reacting to.
