Thank You Voices of Music, Mr.David Tayler, I got an unforgettable impression of the Master’s performance, the work of a sound engineer, the acoustics of the hall, trimmed with Masterly joiners.
Such wonderful music ! And great to hear David Tayler, the quiet backbone of this group, play solo. I'm no expert on lute playing but this seems a performance of the highest order.
Amidst all the beautiful performances of the Voices of Music Ensemble, hearing your solo pieces for lute is a treat of another kind. Hearing your poetic, tactile and mellifluous playing is but balm for the soul. And I have to say - the wonderful acoustics of the recording venue (where is it, by the way?) envelops the sound of your lute like that of a celestial dome - a heavenly vault of reverberation. And I find myself daydreaming, after having taken in your performances, about what joy it would be if you regaled us with other pieces. Like - a ricercar or intabulation by Spinacino...or another toccata (6?) by Kapsberger...or some pieces by Ennemond Gaultier or Mercure. What am I saying...this is not a request list, just a grateful listener’s reverie :) Hats off to you, Mr Tayler!
Anche se si togliesse l'audio, solo dal movimento delle mani e delle dita, si capirebbe che è un grande liutista, se poi si mette l'audio, si ha la conferma.
A video series on each musician and how they came to meet their instruments would be AMAZING! 😭❤️😍 #suggestion #VOM
Interesting idea!
Thank you for another gem performed with such nuance by a master.
You are very welcome.
D. Tayler displays a beautiful, exalted, simply magical and majestic performance. The Capirola lute gives a sonorous and exquisite musical tone.
