Easily two of the most unskilled commentators right now. 'Massive!", "Wow!", "Incredible!". And when the referee calls for a low boll toss they just keep quiet. "-What's going on?". I want Adam back. These guys just groaning and moaning and laughing between balls. They probably constantly just wondering how lucky they are that they got this jobs. I'd prefer to be able to turn the commentators off and just listen to the tabletennismatch uncommented. One guy knows nothing and one guy knows something, that is not a good combo in my opinion. That I could get at my local sportsbar. As well as a pint.
I don't think the announcers have even played at the recreational level because they have no idea what they are talking about. It would be better to just not have commentary
Fraser has been around the game, in this tournament he hit rallies with several of the professional players. He wouldn't be able to do that if he didn't have some coaching. To say he has no idea is a stretch. What specific statement do you disagree with?
@@PianistsRavel OK, I'll admit it came off a bit harse. The bit about service techniques. If the service is short, no spin why would return it topspin loop over the table? It's an unnecessary movement. You either flick it or as I prefer to play those like Adriana Diaz with the forehand drive if it is half long (though she makes it look super fun with the no look.) One of the reasons the match was so entertaining was that they knew each other very well and are very similar in skill level. If one player is more skilled, the rallies will never last more than 3-5 touches. He hadn't mentioned things about the mindset in big tournaments. He was saying things how mentally strong Dima is and the result obviously didn't turn out that way. I'm sure Dima and his coaching team will have watched each previous match and had a plan. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to close out and I'm sure he wishes he could have changed a few things. It could have gone either way. What he did get right was them being familiar with each other and the more often you play with someone, you are very familiar with their tendencies. It was that way with my coach who was technically many hundred rating points higher than me but I was able to beat him after a few years but struggled in tournaments against non-traditional types which on paper I shouldn't have lost to. I simply was not able to practice enough against different styles of play - which I took advantage of and changed my BH style to short pips attack and it definitely makes a lot trouble for two winged loopers. Even recently, you can see examples like Manika Batra playing for India causing all sorts of problems for her opponents. She uses BH SP Tibhar Grass DtecS with a Tenergy 05 FH. I haven't played competitively in 10 years and I'm able to see a lot of misinformation. What they need to do is have a pro or ex pro on like sometimes I hear Lily Zhang in some tournaments commentating.
all matches would b much more enjoyable without commentary. i often mute sacrificing the game sounds because i cant stand the OHHHHH MYYYY GOOOOOOODnes shit anymore.

absolutely phenomenal by dima ovtcharov
LYJ didn't push a 3rd ball almost the entire match and it caught Dima off guard in the end. great strategy and great win for Lin
dima at his age just outstanding
He still can play for quite a few more years like Timo.

CHUANG Chih-Yuan is also inspirational. He is 42 just like Timo yet still remain competitive.
Classic.
Hiromoto Hiromoto Hiromoto Hiromoto Hiromoto Hiromoto Hiromoto Hiromoto Hiromoto. The commentator in love with a 15 yeear old player.

face hiding serve from lin yun ju😤. But still very close and amazing match
No, his serve can't be any cleaner. Only Wang-Chuqin's serve is debatable.
the announcers unconscious bias/racism comes through at the end....just replay through the last game!!!!
