Hi, Dan. I'm at the point in my restoration where I'll be replacing the playfield background. My question is if you have the "inspection" stickers on the old one, and you want to keep it on the new field, would you place it in between the new field and the clear coat?? Or what would be your suggestion ?
I cut them out of the old playfield and lightly sand the backside to make it smooth. Then I use contact cement to glue it to the new playfield. By the time I do that step, the clear coat is already over the playfield. If you put it on first, I don’t think the clear coat would lay flat.
I may want to do my own play field... And custom made, can I send someone a picture to order a play field? (It would be either my gf or ask someone from a band, or ex bf of them to make something, or a mirror idk yet..)
This is a great method you have developed here. I used it apply a new playfield and clear coat and it worked flawlessly. Thanks!

You can also buy repro stickers from Bill Cardwell if you original is missing or messed up.

Go to www.vintagepachinkos.com and leave Bill Cardwell a message. He does all my playfields.
Thanks.
