I would just like to comment on how it is extremely impressive that, despite having 3 other completed speedruns, and being deep into this 4th, the last few uploads have been truly some of the best, most instructive, entertaining, and most honed of all speedrun videos on youtube. (and yes I am including speedruns from other chess content creators as well). It is apparent that Danya has really tweaked the format and approach to almost a perfected state. The chess community is truly blessed to have the Sensei as one of it's predominant public figures. 🙏❤🙌

The explanations following the game form one of (if not the) best explanations of how high GM level chess is. He calculated all of those variations in a couple of minutes total. Meanwhile, he shows how these are all filled with crazy tactics. Just realise, he’s listing all of these rejected lines because 5-10 moves down the road there’s a crazy tactic that I couldn’t even spot when looking at the position and given a minute or so to think. And for Danya, it’s just one of the many, many variations that he has to go over in his head. Absolutely insane.

    Btw, I think the ...Rxf3 sac at 1:12:24 actually works... I calculated 1...Be5, threatening to take the rook and then the knight, so 2. Rc1 (2. Ne4 loses to 2...Bxe4 3.Rc8+ Kh7 and white has to move the queen) Qg5+ 3. Kf1 (3. Kh1 Qf4 and mate is unstoppable.) Bd3+ 4. Ke1 Qg1+ 5. Kd2 Qxf2+ and black wins the queen.
Edit: Should've continued watching lol. The video literally mentions that later hehe.

I also missed the pawn block, and after you recapture can't he take the Rook?. I'm 19 min in. These are so exiting to watch.

Great game, but I was a little disappointed that the answer to "handling the IQP" was "sac the IQP for activity". Is this always the answer? What about using the open files or fighting for the square in front of the IQP? This video doesn't really deliver on its promise imho.

After he offered that IQP the prophet never let down the pressure for one single move, constantly jabbing... I'm astonished by his mastery. Great defence by his opponent but not enough

If Handling the IQP is this complicated for a player as strong as Danya, I am going to avoid it for my entire chess career.

Fantastic game, i am also a Caro player so especially enjoyed it also because of that and the complexity of this position is really nicely explained here. Great video

54:25 I don’t see why not save the white bishop, ring the dark square bishop back in, and launch a stronger mating attack.

I think the caro kann is interesting but it just feels so slow and positional compared to other e4 defenses. Too much theory and doesn't feel as open to creativity like others

26:45 Whats stopping you from saccing the queen for the knight allowing rook to come in the back rank ?

I was wondering if you could kill the knight with your queen at 27:00 and then backrank checkmate with rook

I really hate these positions where it looks very bad for one side but none of the tactics work to convert the advantage

The screen tearing on your face cam is disgusting. Please fix it. You might need to manually tell it to capture at 60 or 30 fps.

At 27:05, why not sac the queen with QueenC3 and then RookD1 forcing mate?

On about minute 27, can't you just capture the knight on c3 with queen?

Hello Danya, huge fan, you've made me fall in love with chess. I was wondering if you could answer a few questions:
    1. Any tips for using engines as a beginner?
    2. How many chess books have you read?
    3. How many hours a day do you chess?
