Who else thinks Dominion is an AMAZING album? *Surviving The Game* feeds my soul. It's so passionate and aggressive, and for me, it motivates me to ensure that my faith in God is unshakable, and that I can do all things through him. *Standing In The Storm* motivates me to take a step forward in my faith; around that time, THAT SONG made many fears disappear, and I also opened myself up too many opportunities that God had for me. I just needed to open up, and this is the song that did that for me. *Dominion* is a song that displays how Christians should be in times of a spiritual war. While we MUST do so in love, we cannot let the world "take away" Jesus' rule over earth. They can't take that away from him, but they CAN push us Christians aside, denying God's sovereignty over his kingdom. "His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be destroyed!" *Valley of Death* is my favorite song of all time; it is the ultimate reminder for me that although I walk through the shadow of the valley of death, God is still there for me. The song is so simple, yet poetic, melodic, emotional, and perfect. John's vocals were THE BEST they have ever sounded on that track. *Beyond Incredible* is a PERFECT workout song, and I love that the lyrics are basically about God and heaven, and what he can do in our lives. Without him, the demons come to our minds, but with him, he will lift us up, and the kingdom of heaven will become our home. He IS a miracle for us. It's honestly incredible. BEYOND incredible. 😉 *Destiny* is a really great song about not letting the past get in the way of your life. To move past your old scars and to forgive people who have done you wrong, and to control your own destiny. You can take control and choose to honor God in rough situations; the song gives me hope in that regard. *Refuge* is a great worship song. Politics, stress, Covid... these things can take away our hope and leave us feeling beaten down, but regardless, the Lord is our refuge, and he IS present in times of trouble. He is the solid rock we can always depend upon and he is the only one that will let us take refuge from these circumstances, even if they do not go away like we'd like. *Shout Your Freedom* is such a good pump up song. It almost seems like the celebration of some of the previous songs like Destiny or Dominion. It's a freedom to speak about what you believe in, a freedom from sin, and a freedom from whatever darkness was in your life previously. *Destroyer* Is NASTY. And there are some good lyrics in there about not letting the past affect the person you are today. *Forever or The End* must have been hard to make... because it was the only song on the album that requires a time machine. IT SERIOUSLY SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS STRAIGHT OFF OF AWAKE! You guys went back to 2009 and created another Awake ballad hehe. Very good lyrics in this one as well. *Ignite* had groovy riffs, and it was almost like a heavier Shout Your Freedom, with a little bit of, "Set it Off" in there from Unleashed Beyond. It's another great workout song. *White Horse* was like Finish Line on steroids. The lyrics are fantastic; I love the use of Bible verses and Biblical imagery, and that chorus is COMMANDING! Your guys music means so much to me as you can see. I could write an entire paragraph about all of these songs, but I think I have typed enough haha. My top 3 were Valley of Death, Standing In The Storm, and Surviving The Game. GOD BLESS YOU GUYS and thank you for the amazing new album! 😊
In my honest opinion, Dominion is the Best Album Skillet has put out. John sings so high on this album, the lyrics are amazing, the melodies are gorgeous, the electronic sounds give off the old school skillet vibes. And John, Jen, Seth and korey are incredible musicians. Overall it’s a amazing album! Collide was my number one album but now it’s officially dominion!
@@shae482 Some songs on this album gave me Collide vibes, so that actually makes sense! The intro to Ignite just sounds kind of old school with the raw riff and drums, the screams in Surviving The Game remind me of their old song Energy, etc. I don't think it's my #1 Skillet album just because I think the second half of the album is so much weaker than the first. I think the first half is the best "first half" of any Skillet album though! But all songs were good! (Well, I have a weird thing with White Horse; it does not all agree with me, but the CHORUS is pretty epic.)
Seth, you're such an amazing guitar player, a fact that cannot be overstated. I adore Skillet and your guys' music; you're all out of this world. Each one of you bring so much uniqueness to the band. Seth, you are incredible. How do you play your solos? They are just incredibly fast! Even simplifying the solo, I can't keep up with the song, and if I do, it's only with mistakes. Although, strangely enough, you have been playing the guitar longer than I have been alive, and in music school, the guitar was only a secondary subject for me and my teachers paid 97% of their attention only to the main instrument, and if you consider that I have been playing the electric guitar for less than a month. .. No wonder why I'm so slow) But I hope I will get better with time. However, I have no plans to become a famous guitarist or even play in a band. Although no one denied the fact that even at the hobby level I will be able to play the guitar quickly and coolly))

You have a Revv amp?! I have a Line 6 Helix and they just got those added to them a while ago and I’ve been using it to try to get closer to some of your tones and I didn’t even know that’s something you had. That’s awesome. You (and Skillet in general) have been such a huge inspiration to my playing, and why I started to begin with. Monster was the first song I ever learned all the way through and Drop C is probably my favorite place to go to this day. Stricken by Disturbed was the first song with a solo I ever learned, but the reason I bought a PRS Custom 24 is because I saw you and Korey, and even Ben playing PRS guitars and thought they looked and sounded awesome. I can’t figure out the sweeps and all but I think if I can figure that out I’d be able to play your solos 🤘🏻😅 hope you have time to post more of these videos because I didn’t know this page existed until just now.
