Hi . I have one of these F4 and what an awesome flying machine. One thing that makes assembly easy with regards to fitting wing is to only fit the wing tips after flipping over and yes best with two people. Wing is just easier to handle and fit without tips.
I love the way you put your connection and will be changing mine as I am busy replacing all air cylinders except shute with servos aand have fitted JP 200 retract motors to tye retracts.
Awesome channel keep up the good work. 👍 ✈️🥩🔥

Fuel fittings, and in particular the “air chuck”. Are these from Festo, Reference number, size (6mm or 8mm)? Is there a small amount of fuel leakage when disconnecting? How does this system compare to Dean’s Dry Break system?
Thanks Jonathan. Your efforts are the best! Cheers, JimR

Not sure of the part number. Typically we add on the 6mm fitting. Doesn't leak much. Maybe a drip or 2 which is why we use the drip catch. Valve addition is insurance. Both are great. I use Jersey Dry Break ports on my planes. Just personal choice.

This model is amazing, but is there any way to make the anti-collision beacon and other lights function like they do on real Phantoms? The triple flash on the model is inaccurate. It should be a single flash, flashing about once per second. The fuselage lights, which the model doesn't have, and rear fin light all flash simultaneously with the anticollision beacon (one light on the upper fuselage, one light under each intake, and the white light on the rear of the fin cap). There are videos of Japanese and Greek Phantoms flying at night on TH-cam that would show you what it should look like. The Japanese Phantoms have an aditional light on the drag chute door.
The lights flash the same on Navy Phantoms, though on Navy Phantoms the upper fuselage light is further back on the fuselage than on USAF versions and their derivatives.
The wing tip lights on the front and rear corners of the wingtips should be steady burn.
I've seen several videos of RC Phantoms with the lights all completely inaccurately flashing, and that really spoils the realism, especially for anyone who ever worked on or flew real Phantoms.
Very clever idea, putting the pitot tube inside the left air conditioning intake. 35:49

Man some head scratching required there to get systems etc upto snuf. Good overall layout though actually doesn,t look that clutted which it could quite easily do. Yus a second person be the go other wise one will damage it. Right carry on. Good training for the F-15 huge sucker ya got coming. ;0)
