    I remember purchasing my Chevy Silverado 1500, Z71 package back in 2015, the base price was 55k but I was able to get the salesman down to 40k when I deposited 8k for a down payment. I was on a 72 month plan with interest rate 3.8%. My monthly payment was $581.97. After the first year of payments I was like, damn... I can't wait to pay this bih off.🤣

    I thought I loved my 19 hellcat but 1500 a month is true love! I'm paying just over a third of that. With under 6k now I'ts hard not to sell it for a couple thousand more (easy) than I paid for it nearly 3 years ago. But I don't want to drive nothing else! Especially now that these cars are the end of true gas powered muscle cars!

    Man who cares about all the extra stuff. I have nothing but the utmost respect for older guys that talk numbers and what they did in their day. Trust me, it’s not bad to incorporate into your decision, but life is VERY finite, you may not wake up tomorrow, let alone make it into bed tonight. Be safe & responsible in all aspects, BUT ENJOY YOUR LIFE AND GET THE THINGS YOU WANT. I notice most people with negative comments usually have two things in common…
    1. They own a shitty car, but always giving financial advice under nice car videos that talk about numbers.
    2. They’re older & in my mind they’re just thinking about what they missed out on in their “good ol’ days.”
    Wether you pay sticker price or 3 times what it cost, if you make the payments & your priorities are in line, ENJOY IT! It’s yours!
    So happy to see you in something you really want, just subbed & hope to see more of your content soon, brother. all you gotta know, is a base price for financing a hellcat would be around $1,200 a month, (varies depending on your down payment obviously)
    if youre a young cat, add a $600-$850 insurance note a month to that aswell.
    depending on how much you drive the car, add gas to that, thatll be like $150-$400 a month, and thats not even adding tire rotations, buying new tires, oil changes etc. (again depends who you are as a driver.)
    add all that up thats about $2,000 a month BASE price to be able to afford a BRAND NEW hellcat. point being, take into account other expenses, you better be damn sure youre making about 15k a month to afford that car COMFORTABLY. (without having to break a sweat, or worry about it basically.)

    In March of 2021 I got a used 2013 Hyundai Tucson with 12-14% interest (can’t remember which one, both are still high) at the age of 20. By the grace of god, just as they were about to tell me “There’s nothing we can do” a older guy pulled up with it and finally decided to trade it in. I thankfully got a co-sign to help me get the car and I love it. Despite having 95k miles on it the car runs smoothly PLUS the man put sensible upgrades in the car that weren’t factory (touchscreen, backup camera, speakers etc.). The only thing I felt about was that I’m sure it was in a minor accident that I wasn’t told about (I found junkyard writing on the upper chassis beneath the engine bay). Despite everything I’d say the monthly payment of $255.64 for 3 years makes it pretty damn fair. They actually tried to persuade the car back off me a week after I got it cause they most likely could’ve charged more

    Brother, not hating just keeping it real with you...... you got robbed, whoever sold you this car over charged you.
    You should have built your credit before buying this car. Done more research. Right now it's extremely easy to get below 3% interest rate.
    Your literally going to end up paying more for this car then I am for my 2021 hellcat Durango.
    Insurance I can't give much advice since it depends on state and even area code

    • @leopapio683
      @leopapio683 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can help you out a little more brother if you reach out to me.
      I got a 3% on my hellcat when my credit was 820 and after buying a house and racking up a couple home expense loans it dropped to 720
      Still was able to get a 1.8% on my durango hellcat. For a 76 month loan.... in 76 months I'll pay a total of like $2k in interest, but I usually pay my cars off in 2 to 3 years so term means nothing to me.
      That being said gap insurance is the biggest rip off, depending on your situation it can be like 300 a month for it, the money goes no where towards your principal you literally throwing money away.
      The purpose for the Gap is like the bank saying you can't afford this but you can Barrow if you insure your loan in case you can't pay.
      Had you put more money down you'd avoid the gap insurance, if your credit was better you wouldn't even need the gap insurance I always put 1/3 of the car down when buying.
      Lower payments and no gap insurance.

    • @leopapio683
      @leopapio683 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you got GAP insurance through your dealer you have been scammed bro, it's not necessary and 9/10 you don't need to secure a loan.
      But even more importantly you can get GAP insurance after buying a car if you legit want the security

    • @leopapio683
      @leopapio683 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      And even if a bank says you can only get this % rate if you get the GAP insurance that's not true, use the % they offered you and shop around.
      My bank of 10 years to this date will never approve my car loans less then 5%.
      But I use that to go to other smaller banks or credit unions and they will aggressively compete.
      The craziest one so far is the less then 2%

    Look. I see it this way. in two years. Your not gonna find this car new anymore. And youll be lucky to find a used one after 2023. So dont feel bad for making that decision. Im still trying to figure out how im gonna get mines. Without sinking myself in a hole. And as of now. This is the worse time to buy a used car. But much respect for your honesty. Im preparing myself as well. Because I do want one before they stop making them. And look on the bright side. Its a win, win for you. You got a car you always wanted. And your building your credit score.

    Rough estimations here since I don't have actual numbers.
    If you put $13k down, paying 1200 a month with 9% interest rate your looking at 72 month long loan?
    In $72 months you will have paid $86,400 + $13,000= $99,400 for the car
    I don't know what GAP cost you or how you paid it, but your paying over $100k after taxes registration.

    • @leopapio683
      @leopapio683 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To compare what you lost out on had you manipulated your credit, bought new, recieved incentives etc.
      Hellcat redeye widebody for with all options
      $91,905- $13,000- $2k (incentive)= $74,905 loan
      72 month for 0%
      $1,035 monthly / $74,905 total
      72 months 2.5% (some give 3 months no payments)
      $1,115 monthly/ $80,305 total
      You could have literally ordered it and either saved up more money in the 5 to 6 months it takes to be delivered to lower your payment even more and you could have added atleast 50 points to your credit

      @@whosJ5 I don't have any social media's lol
      My advice is don't buy a scat just yet, research your insurance cost, also right now is the absolute worst time to be buying a car with the shortages. Either you buy an overpriced used car or you run the risk of buying a car with missing features. Reason why I'm refusing one of the vechiles I ordered is because it's missing standard features.
      Basically the prices for scats right now are what hellcats were at before Covid. If you wait you can either get you a better deal on a scat or get you a hellcat for scat prices.
