Here is a list of the stuff I have purchased from Amazon, and I will be making videos with the upgrades soon. I have not tried them yet, so be careful. Brushed motor: amzn.to/3AlYiEu Brushless Motor: amzn.to/3AwLjQb SCX24 models: amzn.to/3YN9ovD
I got mine in pink and black and i changed my servo because it broke and added wheel weights on the front and swapped the steering link and steering arm im looking on injora differential covers and motor. And injora wheels i have them in my Amazon cart waiting lol.
@BillsWorkbench I got my base camp before Christmas, and ya, I noticed some things that the stock tires struggle with climbing on things in my backyard, like loose dirt and some 45°degree slopes.
I got one of these for my wife for Christmas. I was thinking the only upgrade I would do is add oil filled shocks. I think Proline makes them? Thoughts?
Yes shocks will make a big difference. If she is new to crawling, I would have her try it before upgrading to show her how great the upgrades are. If you are driving on wood or something smooth, you may want new tires.
Neat video. Just wondering how it compares to the other SCX24's. I don't have any crawlers but I do have a bunch of parts for the SCX24 that accidentally got delivered to my grandparents and they were told to keep them. Would this be the one you would recommend for this?
Im on the fence about getting this or the Power Wagon one i know the Power Wagon is around $150 so the price is alot higher. I like the look of both models.

It's worth getting it, modified mine with low down brass weights, heavy brass injora wheels, and some injora oil filled shocks. Huge difference!
What shocks did you get. The ones I invested in are too long and too stiff for the base camp.
@BillsWorkbench I got the Injora 39mm shocks (in red) left on the springs they came with. I used 50 weight oil, I'm pleased with the way they work.
@ Thank you. I will check those out
Thank you I wanted to know if its any good and now I know you earned a sub
What did you decide?

Wow, you must have been on the nice list this year! Those are great upgrades. I have different shocks coming, I can't wait.

I just picked up the ax24 for $99.99 but I guess the sale was only a week long
That is a great little truck, lots of upgrades too. I am sure you will have a great time with it.

It looks to be the same platform. It’s a great little crawler to start with.

@@Casitascrawlers if it’s your first and don’t want to upgrade anything, get the power wagon. If you are planning on upgrading the get the base camp
Awesome review! New sub from my channel to yours.
Thank you!
