If you are not going to work outside the home, then don't put her in daycare now. You can send her for half day when she is around 1 and a half or two.

HI Ritu and Prashanth, my advice is to send Itika to day care after 1 or 1.5 years, shes too young for it, let her enjoy her time with you both, this is the best time ,and you have to capture every moment of her as she will grow fast and we wont realise it and tend to forget her childhood days.

We live in the US, and our daughter started daycare at 2 months. Both my husband and I work full-time. Our parents couldn’t stay for too long due to a family emergency. Our daughter is now 10 and is a healthy, happy, independent, mature, and very social child.
It all depends on your priorities and family situation.

One should delay sending their children to daycare , as much as possible. Kids feel secured with parents only . Can consider few hours after 3 years .

A baby can be in daycare when they are 6 weeks old in the US because that's when the maternity leave ends for normal deliveries and most mothers don't have the luxury to stay at home without an income. This is if their income is more than the cost of daycare and they are willing to pay for it.
Otherwise a nanny/babysitter is an option when there's no family members, etc that can care for the baby.
Babies/children will get sick often in daycare settings and that is what every parent fears but need to be prepared for.
It is really up to you if you feel comfortable. She will cry when you leave her but don't get discouraged as this is temporary. By the end of the week or so if she's going M-F, she should be fine. Getting a spot in daycare when they are infants is really hard as it's usually full. Good luck!

My personal humble opinion is to not send kids to American schools due to gun violence. I have been to American colleges and going through Active Shooter drills is traumatizing. I cannot imagine a young kid having to go through it year after year at such a tender age and not even having the ability to protect oneself. My suggestion is to consider home schooling. You are educated enough to at least give quality education to her at home until high school.

If you are not working Ritu , then don't send her to day care, because in dsy care they catch lot of infections all the time and winter is worst, if one child is sick in day care one by one e eryone will carry the same , then there are many types of virus infections so it goes on . Because of this i think child will suffer and it may affect on her health and growth. I feel you should give her time for couple of years then put her for three hours. Mother is the best teacher. I sm grandma of four all of them are in US . Do i know that after keeping them in chresh how often they used to fall sick . I am 67 years old

    Congratulations on another milestone ❤️
As mom it’s really hard to send the kid to daycare especially the beginning days. Because the baby ko adjust and parents ko b time lgta h trust build krne me. But trust me you are doing good. Kids learn a lot from daycare. Like a lot. The eating habits, sleeping pattern, manners, everything.
I sent Aarav when he was 1 year because me use 7 months k lie India leke gai thi so that he can grow well. But if I would have been in US through out that time then I would have send him around 7-8 months when he just started having solids so that he can learn eating by himself .
There is NO perfect age to send the kid to daycare. Some parents send in 3 months some in 8 , some in 1 and some even after 2.
It depends on what suits you and your baby best.
But for the babies it’s easy to adjust early rather than later aj unko baad me akal zada ajati h
We started 6 hours a day ,3 days a week for 4 months . Jisme 2.5 hours ki nap hoti thi
Then after 4 months we did 8 hours a day 5 days a week.
We transitioned him slowly and it has worked for us.
    All the best❤

Have been in this country for a looooong time and I can tell you there are pros n cons to sending your baby to a day care at an early age :) One pros is, since our interactions with family n friends is limited, sending your baby to a good daycare helps with social, language, etc development faster than if you were to he sole care givernat home. The main con is falling sick often (which could be okay overall since it'll give her body to fight. There are others but this is 5he main one. The important thing is to find a good one! What an exciting phase you're going thru! Enjoy these decisions and choices you both will be making from here on for your baby 😊

Wow! I am really thankful that I didn’t land up in USA. In EU countries it’s 2.10 months. I had to keep her home till 2 yrs bcs of long waiting list.
My daughter just started a month ago at 25/26 months but my experience is it’s way more expensive to send her there & more stressful bcs it’s tons of list for clothing. Like rain suit, thermo jackets & all. It’s a very personal choice although. 1.5 yrs is good age to send. I also agree for homeschooling if you have time & energy. Children are quick learner. They show you sign what they like it like music, dance, bhajan, shlokas. . Uske bad waise bhi wo nhi sunte.. 😅

Minimum age should be 18 month atleast ...because 1.5 saal tk to 2 -3 nap time hota hai baby ka...jismey mostly time nikal jaiga...18 month after a period thoda active hotey hai baby to explore new things and to do more activities and enjoy their peer group
    ..

It will be perfect to send around 18months or closer to her second birthday. At that age she will need more socialising with kids her age, teachers and caregivers outside home. Right now she will fall sick a lot, regardless kids fall sick when they start daycare but it will be a little more manageable for both of you. A lot of working parents hire a full time nanny as well to avoid that situation. You can start taking her to local library, or like a tot center most towns have programs like story time and play groups for kids her age.

In USA as many of us don't ve house help or parents to support .Sometimes stay at home moms get exhausted physically and emotionally . So they NEED some me time at least halfday . Also for kids prospective they learn more in daycare with other kids . Again everyone's prospective is different i m just sharing mine ❤.

Also budget matters. In India, early learning that comes in the range of 4 to 7 lakhs Indian rupees per annum are considered premium. There is always a waitlist for the best, that’s also another aspect to consider

    Hi ritu
Just sharing my thoughts regarding daycare
No one would take care of your baby like you do
This is such a stage where babies learn concept of trust n mistrust her world is around you
child psychology is most important part of individual development
U should consider sending her to day care after she is 1 year , already she is growing up too fast 🧿
Phir toh janna hi hai jindagi bhar kabhi school kabhi college kabhi kaam pe
Toh ye golden phase miss hi kyu krna
    Love from uttrakhand

I have two ways to look at early learning centres. Also, I’m only talking about schools and not day cares or crèches. There is a difference. I sent my older child to an early learning when he turned 16 months old. The experience was good. My younger child is about 2.5 years old, doesn’t go to a school yet. We moved places and not able to find a school without a day care. I personally don’t want to send him to a day care turned early learning because children in day cares fall sick easily and learn less.

If you watch channel Simple Living Wise Thinking you will see how her son fell sick after joining day care. Why trouble the baby if you are at home. This is the best face of your life so enjoy with Itika. These days older children are a mess to deal with so enjoy while she is young tiny and innocent. At times we get carried away by ideas that our friends share with us.

Daycare should only be when child is able to talk and communicate. As then only parents will know if child is having any personal discomfort or facing issues at Daycare. So only after 1.5 yrs 2 would be best.
Yes kids start to feel bored once they turn 1year and interacting with other kids would help but that's a personal decision each child is special and different.

I think you can avoid using fruit feeder, it is kind of detrimental to BLW (baby led weaning), is what our paediatric nutritionist said. Encourage your child to sit down in a high chair or old school way, on floor and eat.

For all the people who are commenting on she’s too small or this is not a good age, etc. I would like to add that there is no right or wrong age for sending your kids to a daycare. I have seen some of my friends sending their 4-5 months old to a daycare and those kids have become so much more comfortable and their social skills is on a different level. And moreover, separation anxiety also in small infant is less compared to the toddlers. There are lot of reports that kids in US who are sent to a daycare in winters tend to get more sick as compared to summers. So best time is send them in Summer time so that by the time winters set in they’ll get used to it.

Separation anxiety develops between 8months to 12 months and that too for babies who are close to parents /caregiver . Obviously this would be very less in babies who were separated from their parents long before . Because they could never develop that bond .it’s not something bad which should be avoided . We need to embrace these natural instinct’s. There are many psychological studies which confirms impact on emotional development and stability of such kids when they grow up . Parents must once check Erica Komisar’s videos and know more about it .

Jo aapko sahi lagta hai Karo but as far as opinion and experience is considered abhi mat dalo. Bohot badi majboori hai toh hi dalna. Bade hone k baad toh Jana hi hai 2-2.5 years. Koi baccha khush nahi hota daycares m isliye they fall sick
