Some car drivers towing caravans seem to have no idea how long their vehicle is, I've been overtaken on my ride to or from school by these drivers. They pass with plenty of room from their car but then cut back in and nearly take me out with the caravan. I'm super wary of these guys now. I wonder why there is no need for a proper training session and test for them.

First clip where was it??? I am a road train driver in Perth and talk with my fellow drivers about this shit. There seems to be an overwhelming increase in the amount of car drivers who will drive in the far outside lane and, at the last second, decide they want to get off at the next exit and erratically cut across multiple lanes to do so!!! I witnessed one on the Kwinana Freeway where the car slammed into the crash barrier at the beginning of the armco lane dividing barrier. I thought to myself "theyre dead" and radiod back to another driver that i knew was behind me. He said that the occupants were out of the car and walking around but the car was totalled! This seems like it is getting more prevalent and is just crazy shit to be doing!!

Thanks Tez, keep them coming. We drive a 4WD truck motorhome and we are slow to accelerate for passing and have limited top speed but we are dismayed by the lack of awareness of other drivers to their own vehicle limitations. A simple UHF call to road trains deferring to them to facilitate their safel overtaking is just one simple courtesy. Caravaners need to be schooled on some of the real road techniques. After all they are driving the equivalent of a semi on an "A" class licence.

In th 2nd video, if you look at the vehicles on the other side of the drain you will notice that the bonnet on the white SUV and the tray back ute behind it are both bent up and back, so I would say that they were involved in a nose to tail and the truck and dog has got out of control trying to stop in time.

@@livingadamman7994 Bike riders have to undergo defensive rider training as a prerequisite for licensing. No such requirement exists if you want to tow a three and a half tonne pig trailer behind a two tonne vehicle. Stop to think about the latter, for a second. It's a recipe for disaster.
And there's a big difference between grandad's old XE Falcon with it's 250 6 in it and these modern common rail diesels that pull these vans along.
Modern engines are capable of achieving sustained "high" speeds under load.
The "new breed" you talk about was always present on the road. He's just now armed with a light machine gun instead of the old service revolver.

@@davidbrayshaw3529 There you go, well put mate. Besides proud attitudes and the look at me in my new van it's better than yours mind set, anxiety and other attention disorders are now much higher than the old days as perhaps another factor. I was thinking about the wobbles I once got towing a van which were very scary when the van starts steering you, and as you rightly put not only is the weight factor not equal but theres no defensive training to tow a van. I'm a rider of many years on all size bikes I've been cleaned up by cars so I know how it goes out on the road but fortunately I don't go on any busy highways more country highways these days occasionally I go to Brisbane which is pretty hectic. From the dash cam videos I'd say the roads are twice as dangerous as when I began driving 32 years ago, and the roads are better. Goose neck trailers are the go, they stop a lot of the wobble effect as they mount over the rear axel. They even have caravan racing in the USA, better on a track than on the roads.

    • @livingadamman7994

Then we have the goose @ North Shore Geelong, doing V/Line rail replacement. But the line taking interstate freight trains was not under occupation. therefore the coach driver was surprised when the level crossing became activated.
He didn't want to get reported for crossing the crossing (which there was likely still time to do) but stopped on the crossing & waited (er, for the train I think???).
Doing rail replacement yet gets hit by a much longer heavier train than the ones he's replacing.
By the time here heard the 5 chime Leslies on the lead loco, there were only seconds in it.
