It does brother I appreciate you can literally hear him screaming in laughter during the chase scene thru the woods dude with electric powers was preping for a marathon 🤣🤣🤣
I agree, Logan was definitely the best super hero movie in the last ten years. Your analysis showed all the care they took with creating and casting it.
At the END of this movie, everyone in the theatre I was at (it was packed on a Saturday evening in its 2nd weekend) had been sniffling through mostly silent tears, and after a few moments of stunned silence before the credits, stood up and exited slowly and it was like EVERYONE was in mourning! I've only ever seen/heard this at one other movie which was The Passion of the Christ, when I attended that with a very big church group. NOT KIDDING! As a fan of The Xmen and Wolverine comics as a young tween, I and I'm assuming everyone else at the showing I went to were VERY affected by this movie!
I loved this movie (still do, because it's a rewatchable one), and missed like 90% of what you revealed in the easter eggs, so thank you. Now I need to rewatch it soon and I'm anticipating DP3 even more. Great job on the vid!!!
I loved Logan, unfortunately, one of my good friends has terrible taste in movies and shows. How you ask? He thought Logan sucked and She Hulk was pretty good. Don't worry, I got him a helmet for his birthday.
Seriously one of the best movies from that year and one of the best super hero movies of all time. My daughter was very young at the time and the ending between Logan and x23 tore my heart out. Seriously an outstanding movie.
Hugh Jackman said when he was watching Deadpool for the first time he had the idea to do a buddy comedy with Ryan Reynolds- like wolverine and Deadpool with a 48 Hrs vibe.
This video honestly couldn’t have been more convenient rn, bc I just watched this movie for the first time last night, and this just popped up on my feed..
My head canon for that scene was always that because Logan and Caliban kept him so far away from other people, he could telepathically hear radio waves and the taco bell ad was a commercial lol
I hate how I've always thought the only thing Logan is missing is Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed, and they actually had him planned... That's heartbreaking!
Logan is one of those movies that u watch once. It’s so good but it hits the heart strings really well. I’m old enough to have seen all X-Men movies and OG cartoons. I cried when he died. My wife laughed but I explained it’s basically a story of the death of my childhood. As I watched it I had memories of being a kid watching cartoons after school and then teenager going to the movies to see the first X-Men movie and so on. Watching as a father I connected to Logan through my daughter. Great movie but one that I could only watch once.
@18:45 nitpicking, but can't be from pyro b/c he cannot create fire, only manipulate it, & sunspot needs to charge via the actual sun & the kids were said to have never been outside
I’ve never noticed that Liberty motel part there. I always thought it was just a random rambling call out or showing that Xavier was just confused. I mean it still shows he is confused and not all there but it’s so much better now. Thanks for that.
@@MrSwccguy when Xavier is saying that he’s talking to a new mutant and that she is waiting at the Statue of Liberty. I never caught the motel was the Liberty motel. I always thought (like Logan) that it was just pointless rambling. But now I realize that Xavier was rambling a bit since it wasn’t the Statue of Liberty but it also shows he wasn’t as far gone as Logan originally thought.
@@MrSwccguy somehow I missed it. Or just forgot that scene somehow. I remember him saying it was a long time ago. Just not the name of the motel or the Statue of Liberty sign outside of it.
I liked with Prof X tells her to use a fork. Just like how she has to learn to use her claws. She eats with the fork like they are her hands. Unlike us using a fork as a utensil. She puts the food in her mouth either it and then turns the fork to push the piece in her mouth. Like the fork is a little hand for her. Attention to detail is good in this movie.
I honestly wouldn’t be sad if D3 opened with Logan on the log and Deadpool casually pulling him off and dragging him into a van… in fact I’m sure someone has pitched that in the writers room
Huge props for the Powder reference!! I have always loved that movie so much. And very recently showed a friend and even after all these years, funny how you can watch something you've seen so many times and still get a new take away, but it was the first time I saw it as a good hero comic origin story. Much so like Brightburn did for a villain origin story.
There is a loose reference to the first X-Men when Rouge asks Logan if it hurts when the claws come out…and him wincing at the claw as he pulls it to be fully extended.
Logan kept the bullet so he could fire it into his head like Stryker did. He wanted to screw up his memory so he would forget what he did to the X-MEN. It says so in the graphic novels.
Logan is one of thoes comic book films that is just a joy to watch with its heartpumping action scenes and its heartbreaking ending its just the best of the Wolverine trilogy by miles. I can see Hugh being made to ware thee yellow suite and with Ryan's Deadpool taking the upper piss out of him. Jared this was brilliant..
This is one of the best comic book movies and this is how to do a comic book movie and modern western. The ending is one of the most emotional and best in a comic book movie. Hugh, Patrick, Dafne deserved Oscar Nominations. Can't wait for Jackman's Wolverine return in Deadpool 3 and hope he's in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty And Secret Wars with Stewart's Xavier And Keen's X-23.
It’s one of the best comic book movies because, for the most part, it doesn’t FEEL like a comic book movie. Personally, I just can’t watch most of the X-Men movies, and I really can’t sit through any of the MCU movies; i’ve tried, but can’t normally make it more than 30 or 40 minutes before giving up, it’s just not my thing. But as a kid who loved wolverine, I watched the wolverine movies, and Logan is by far the absolute best comic book movie I’ve ever seen. It feels more like a modern day western, ala Breaking Bad or No Country for Old Men. Great movie, and highly re-watchable
Right up there with the best comics adaptations.. I love how they finally went with an R rated Wolverine production and the script was just so good, too..who will ever soon forget that last Berserker Wolverine forest scene!? I had goosebumps up my arm when he first lets out that roar to signal that The Wolverine is about to fck some sh!t up.
I wouldn't say "Best superhero movie," but certainly one of the "best comic book movies." Although, seeing as it's not fully based on anyone one single comic it's just a great movie, period.
About the dogtags, they are issued in pair and although they are supposed to be identical, I belive one says Wolverine, other says Logan. Therefore, those are the only names he is known as since memory wipe
Yeah, I know, I'm a little behind, but I just saw The New Mutants the other day. Loved it. Logan I saw a few years back, but a while after its release. I don't know if I'd say it's the best, but it's way up there. I seem to recall him looking at his dog tags with the name Logan etched into them at the end of one of the earlier movies recounting his backstory, showing he'd just lost his memory and only knew his name from that. Now I'm not sure if it was in the first film or an episode of the animated series, but I remember a conversation where Charles asked if Logan was his first name or his last and he said he didn't know. Anyway, I don't remember seeing the dog tags with Wolverine etched into them.
The corn syrup doesn’t suppress the mutant gene of the person that’s consuming it. It suppress the replication of that mutant gene in that persons offspring if they eat it for long enough. Watch the Channel 4 tv show Utopia season 2 for a better explanation and the source that inspired that entire part of the film
i saw a video before this, about this. it had more than a mil views and like 50k likes. and all he said was " i liked it fighting". this video only has 3k likes and u informed everyone about everything.
Heard through speciation that Logan and New Mutants were poss to tied in with X-Man movie after New Mutants put Desiney bought Fox before anything took flight.
Huge thank you to Jared for jumping on this breakdown
When you gonna to do the Wizard of Oz?
Boo
Are you serious?? Wtf No one subscribed to Jared's channel!!
Jared from insomniacs Spider-Man I presume 🤨
Loved Logan! Can't wait to see him again!
This was the last movie I saw with my dad before he died and yesterday was his birthday I needed this breakdown thank you Paul and Jared 🤘🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾
Ey sorry to hear that mate, hopefully this video brings back some happy memories

So sorry for your loss and a happy heavenly birthday to your dad
Thank you Keith 🙏🏾
Bless, I just bought it for my Dad he has Disney+ but unless I buy it physically he will never watch it.
Before the world cried for IRON MAN
We cried for WOLVERINE
Logan starting scene with the limo set the stage for the rest of the movie, loved it!!
I cried heavily after this movie and I still get my heart racing when i rewatch it

Were you psyched for his return?
@@shumayelkhan8154 Yes, although I would have stayed pleased with his ending. Logan, I mean. My views on the other will remain my own.
We been riding with Wolverine since 2000, it was a beautiful ending and I legit thought that would be the last time seeing him as Wolverine.
Well, some people seem to like suffer porn...
To me Logan’s death was always more saddening and had more of an effect on me then tony starks. So glad that he’s making a return in Deadpool.
You’ll probably hate learning Wade Wilson is Canadian too. Which also makes them both some of the best mutants ever.
i 100% agree.
Definitely catching up before Deadpool and Wolverine!

One of my top 3 favorite Marvel movies of all time🔥
I kinda think Logan is one of comic book movies that transcends the genre. It’s a beautiful film all around.
Agree with you. It's the best one I've seen.

This movie in black and white version hits different. Much grittier feel.

That scene in the hotel was amazing.
By far, this was the best X-Men movie.

The adamantium bullet did not PIERCE his skull, it can only ricochet. The female Dr. in the scene before even says "that won't kill him".
I can’t believe you skipped over the movie’s ending and peak when Logan says, “ _You’re not what they make you_ “
Watching this video a year later just after they revealed the name for Deadpool 3 “Deadpool & wolverine” clairvoyant?
Logan kept the bullet so he could fire it into his head like Stryker did. He wanted to screw up his memory so he would forget what he did to the X-MEN. It says so in the graphic novels.

The first appearance of x23 was from the NYX #4 comic book
