Imam Zamin’s real name was Muhammad Ali and he migrated to India during the reign of Sikandar Lodhi from Turkistan. He was the Imam for the famous Masjid of Quwat ul Islam in the vicinity of Qutab Minar Complex. He was inspired by the Sofies of Chistia Order. Imam sb was very popular among the residents of Dehli. On his guarantee actually, Babar spared the residents of Dehli after defeating Ibrahim Lodhi in 1526 at Panipat. That’s why people used to call him as Imam Zamin. Imam sb himself got built his tomb during his life time between 1537-38. He died in 1539 and was buried in this tomb. Local residents of Dehli from all sects and religions used to love him like anything. With Love from Islamabad 🙏
