Yay, RAISE A SUILEN! 🙂 Thanks for your reaction and I'm glad you liked them. (Suilen is kind of a bamboo shield or blind or something like that btw) Bang Dream events usually consist of several bands performing, but in 2021 RAS went on this Zepp tour on their own. Afaik they're the only band in this franchise that performs outside of the BangDream "box", probably because they're the best musicians from all of the BD bands. They for sure have the most varied sound of them all. Not all of their songs sound exactly like this but in general this is their direction - mixing rock, metal, EDM, pop and some sort of rapping. As I surely already wrote in another post for me their best track is "Hell! or Hell?" in the 7:40 min. live version with an insane instrumental intro, including scratching by the DJ (it's one of my favorite japanese songs ever btw). Unfortuntely it's not on YT but only on Bilibili so you probably can't react to it. But for your personal enjoyment you might want to check it out on your own - you can find it there if you search for "RAISE A SUILEN Craziness HELL! or HELL?" Other recommendations (available on YT): "RIOT" (their first single), "Outsider rodeo" (from the same show)", "Unstoppable", "Expose! Burn out", "Drive us crazy" and "A declaration of xxx".
Oh wow, what a coincidence - RAS just uploaded "Hell! or Hell?" from that concert on YT! (But unfortunately without the intro so I still recommend to check that out on bilibili)
Thanks for the recommendation! I think you were right too, seeing the live performance was the right choice. The song was great and enjoyable but the live performance was so fun! Ah thanks for that info as well, I was like idk what a suilen is, haha. Ok that makes sense how the whole BanG Dream thing works, good to know. I go on bilibili from time to time to find/listen to stuff not on YT so ill go check it out for sure. I might be able to just squeeze it in to a recording session next time I get a chance. There are a lot of songs that recently dropped though so not sure ill have time for my next session but maybe in a couple/few weeks. Thanks again for all the extra info and the recommendation! This was a fun one!
The Bang Dream franchise includes I think 7 different bands, Raise a Suilen, Roselia, Morfonica, Popping Party and another 3 that I don't remember their names right now, and they all do live shows.
@@Shreddawg th-cam.com/video/IR8F0TspdJo/w-d-xo.html New Band. I just thought you may want to get in on the ground floor on this one. Light rock feel good stuff that you usually like.
Hey Shreddawg. Been in absentia lately but now I'm back. Much like yourself I too am also somewhat guilty of not having reacted to a good deal more of Raise a Suilen's work aside from maybe the odd live clip here and there over the past few years so I appreciate you taking the time to give them a listen. As for myself, Roselia still stand as the one among all the Bang Dream bands to whom I've listened and responded to the most. Should you choose to react to Roselia at some point (You may or may not have done so already) here are a few suggestions/favourites of mine from their discography: Black Shout, Ringing Bloom, Determination Symphony and especially Avant-garde HISTORY which I absolutely love and the one song of theirs I find myself returning to time and time again. That aside, still looking forward to your reactions to those two Lonesome_Blue songs (Beginning of the End & Labyrinth) and The Fix (Rush) from South Korea. One more thing, Rolling Quartz are set to do their first full Stateside tour very soon. To quote Blackpink, they'll be in your area on 13th May at Catch One Jewel's Room. Tickets still currently available for that show (Show in Chicago Sold Out, First New York show also Sold Out). Have to sit tight and wait for them to come to Australia so I'm a little jealous that you've already gotten to see the likes of Band-Maid and Nemophila live in the flesh well before me and the rest of my fellow countrymen and women lol!!!. My apologies for this long winded comment dude.✌️❤🤘
Hey! Great to hear from you! Yes, I totally under, there is so much to watch and so little time >.> Ill have to check them out at some point as I really enjoyed RAS. I am pretty sure I have not heard any of their songs before so ill have to take your recommendation. I know for sure I checked out Beginning of the end, just havent edited the video yet. As long as there are no issues with the clips, ill try and get a video out in the next couple weeks. The Fix will probably be a couple months out even though I have several people asking. I try and space out the KRock videos a bit since a vast majority of the people that watch the videos are Japanese but ill for sure check them out! I have tickets to see RQ, I am very excited! I caught part of their stream last night as well and they were fantastic as always! I have to say, I do feel very fortunate that I have had the opportunity to see BAND-MAID and NEMOPHILA live. Those were some of hte best shows I have ever been to. I do have some footage form the last NEMOPHILA tour as well but editing that video has been a bit slow >.> All good, I love having the opportunity to chat with everyone so feel free to leave as long of a comment as you would like and ill always get back to you as soon as I can!
Bit of info .They formed as a group for the anima Only the drummer back then was a pro musician the rest learned mostly on the job .There all the voice actors in the anime you should watch some of there full band interviews where they slip in and out of there characters its hilarious. They just got better and better as a band now live there superb and have big backers so sound and stage shows are top notch .Look them up on YT only do the ones others have done and credit Bang Dream .I would go and see them if they came to the uk.
Afaik Raychell already had a couple of solo albums out before she started with RAS and the guitarist Rikopin was in the band The Sketchbook before (they had a couple of great songs, like "Mirror") so even 3 of them were professional musicians earlier on.
Oh wow, thats actually pretty cool. Always interesting to see new talent grow into something great. Ill for sure check out some more songs in the future. Ill probably check out some interviews in my spare time. I like to watch/listen to a lot of Japanese media to help with understanding Japanese. :)
Yay i got notified straight away this time Dawg, i'm king of the world. Oh wait no i'm not, it's 4:08:am here, i'm just up really early. I liked the riffs but that keyboard is too forward in the mix for me :)
Well im glad its working now! You are the first one here! Damn, thats too early for me XD There are some pretty sick guitar riffs in there, huh? ...I just like cool sounds haha
Yeah hes apparently fixed the issue with not getting notifications plus I think he likes competition haha. Its been a day, or well week... we'll just say that haha.
@@Shreddawg At least my internet connection is a bit more reliable... I can guess what you meant about your week. You probably already know it, but Band Maid released a live video of "Sense" at the Tokyo Garden Theater. I told Gary I'd keep bugging you about DIH, so I had to mention it.
Thats good about your internet! Its always rough when the internet is having issues. Hahaha yeah I need to check out some more DIH, they are really awesome. @@Shreddawg I forgot to mention that Nemophila dropped a new video this morning, it was a live version of "Now I Here." You might have heard it at the concert, but it is on the "Seize the Fate" album. I'm sure you'll love it; it is more like a ballad than anything I can think to call it, but Hazuki and Saki have a really nice guitar duet in it. Please take care and have a great night!
I love this band too. Great song, one of my favorites.
I really enjoyed this one. Live performances are always so much fun to watch!
BanG Dream has anime series, anime films, mobile games, manga, and a light novel.
Yeah im familiar with BanG Dream but I have not read/watched any of the content. I actually watch a lot of anime so I will watch it at some point.
