Mr. Teddy is what I knew him as, coming up in Philly and as a child in the Philly Music Scene. Teddy Pendergrass was and still is a giant in the industry! A straight G not to be taken lightly was sharp in his business acumen’s also, was hated by so many!!!

When I first heard Teddy P sing, I was a child, in the late 70s or early 80s. He was in a wheelchair on Solid Gold, I had no idea he ever could walk until the late 90s when my friend's mother had his early record.
It's too bad that this talented man was/is mainly known in the US unlike his biggest rival Marvin Gaye who was and still is a worldwide legend. But that car accident messed up everything to travel out of America...what a waste. Rip brave talented soul.
