These last two games show that Sam Darnold now understands what it takes to win. He takes what the defense gives him, and no matter what happens, he comes back to the huddle with the same attitude.
Hard to complain when we're 9-2, but my gosh, sometimes some quick hit plays to get the offense moving would really be nice. Not every single play needs to be a long developing scheme. Darnold was tap dancing in the back field all day.
I thought Sam played very well today, and I actually thought the OL protected him. Addison had a terrific game and Hockinson was huge in OT, but I didn't think the receivers were getting open today with regularity and that's been a problem of late. There were some terrific catches today. I thought the pass rush was largely MIA. Run D was mostly good. As someone who saw every Caleb snap at USC, today was definitely Heisman season Caleb. He can get out of jams and make amazing passes downfield. Once he becomes more consistent watch out. His talent is undeniable.
We beat Chicago in Chicago last yr, ahem. Their D (Chicago) is decent and can slow some O-oriented teams down surprisingly at times. Was disappointed in our MN D missing some sacks, as well as soft zone coverages that allowed Bears WR Kennan Allen to have a banner day. But, was pleasantly surprised that our OL finally (?) got a goal-line TD for Aaron Jones after being stopped at the GL earlier. Vikings need to practice onsides kicks apparently for longer than 5 mins in game prep during the week. (receiving and kicking it as well)
I agree that on-side kicks are very random but Mundt needs to be aware of where the ball is considering if it touches ANY Vikings player it’s a live ball. He needs to know where it’s at and not just blindly go head first in to a guy
Did you all watch the same game as me? We dominated, and they had a miraculous comback that we overcame. It's a road division game. Weird stuff happens. I think this was a fantastic win. Not to mention, how demoralizing is that to the bears and crying caleb?
If Danorld stays healthy the viks will go far, don't think he ever played a full season. Plus he will play hurt and those are his bad games. Got to watch his health, he can scramble which is good in the playoff. He takes/ gets a lot of sacks.
I thought the Vikings got a great win today. I was fine with pretty much the whole team because I think Chicago is a very good team that simply isn’t that well coached. The Bears were good enough to overcome some all too typical mistakes. I thought Darnold was outstanding today. He’s actually maturing as a quarterback and he’s still relatively young.
Glad they won. Still hard to get excited about the team. I didn’t expect much at all this season and should be happy, but after seeing their ceiling at the start of the year and their ceiling now… it’s just kind of a let down
Hey Coller, yes Caleb was OK, but how many of his "big plays" were inches from a debilitating turnover. It seemed like any time the Bears made a big play, it more because the Vikings didn't quite finish/catch the ball
Only reactionaries said Darnold's turned into a pumpkin, but there were lots of them and it's embarrassing. He played well against Detroit, LA and Jacksonville, despite a tipped ball, an INT that wasn't, a miscommunication with Jefferson.
Actually, the Vikings did shut down that offense for the most part...... Until they started playing prevent defense. Those last couple drives were awful. Prevent defense doesn't prevent anything
Its really funny how pundits are switching from oh come on Sam (should we even go and get Rodgers, Jones or whomever?) to Sam is the man, and hoist him in heaven. As for me, I was trusting Sam from the beginning to be a solid QB in a well structured franchise and scheme. Many were already in preseason throwing him under the bus without a clue. Sam convinced me in the first 4.5 games, then KOC took him over with his questionable play calling at times. Sam could not improvise anymore. Blame KOC for that. Sam started to stare down JJ, which was also bad. I still liked Sam, aand his calm and souvereign way of acting. The Bears game was solid by Sam, but there is still much room to improve. As long as KOC doesnt let him play instinct footbal, we will go nowhere in the play-offs, as always. Pundits stop changing your opjnion after EVERY game.
Sam was neither spectacular, nor the best player on the field. He was not bad, and also had his flaws, especially when we could close the game out. Best player clearly Addison. Some pundits always exaggerate. As for me I was highly pissed off with KOC and how this game ended in regular time.
I’m sorry KOC not the answer 4 & 1 you tell your QB you have 2 seconds nothing there run it game ball ! That didn’t happen. His deep route schemes absolutely suck eggs!
Vikings teams under Zimmer would have folded in multiple games this year. It hasn’t been easy, but 9-2 is 9-2.

Glad you were able to power through and find a way to complain
@@PurpleFaithful1he’s not wrong though and shotgun on the goalline is just awful
@Evolution10X so you think KOC doesn't know what plays Darnold is best at?
Great takes. Love the insight
Thanks!

You're right about O line. Best effort in a long time, especially given that Robinson got dinged.
Both Caleb and Darnold have special physical talent

Darnold was slinging it today. He throws such a nice deep ball.

KOC will keep him from playing 100%. I am sure.
Crazy that they have a 4 game cushin on the number 8 seed with 6 games left!
Darnold has again and again driven this team downfield late when it matters. You could look it up.

Flowers to KW today, was all him. Kids busting out and holy shit. fuck

Darnold is a cross between Brett Favre and Eli Manning.

Hey it’s a win
Vikes are an above-average team. Plenty of red-flags that they aren't a championship team.
Special teams deserve an F+ where Romo gets the +.

Hey Coller, Nick Mullens has the best QB rating in the league (only 2 passes)*. Haha

Darnold is like a cornerback, very short minded

Oh by the way KOC Rob rotation is horrible😡
Win a Super Bowl for the Vikings 200 million QB contract belongss to Sam Donald!
no
Please stop using BP on offensive plays 😡he is to small to slow and can’t separate. Use Sheffield and keep BP on sp only
Darnold was good today. But this is the worst 9-2 team in history.
It's maybe the worst 9-2 Viking team in 2024
@ Not sure what that means, but this is not a GOOD team.
it's the most complained-about 9-2 team, yes
@@pauljohansen8043means i disgree with your ridiculous take.
That is an insane and easily disprovable claim. The 2022 Vikings, for instance, had a NEGATIVE point differential 😂
I’m sorry
KOC not the answer

9-2
30/45 = best winning percentage in Viking history. No Fran Tarkenton, no Alan Page. Think we're ok.
Bro what are you taking about? Lol.
I don’t care about all the records stuff. We have No rings . KOCs offense is SAWFT !
can’t play big boy football! We are a finesse team
@@paulcolon9527 lol ok.
