Omg you done few certain mistakes during assembly to prevent water ingestion
Same thing just happened to my buddys seadoo, it was the button itself, cut the wires and bi pass the switch
I doubt it's the computer that's probably just a sticking starter starter solenoid
Skilled.
You absolutely messed up on your rebuild and that engine will fail! It is absolutely a must to gap your rings when rebuilding those motors. I guarantee that within 5 hours of running that motor it will fail.
How do you know I didn't? it's still running mint btw ;)
Just to add if you're not sure if it's a carb model or not look for a choke efi model doesn't have a choke

Just rebuilt mine top n bottom. Wear rings good. Impeller is good. Cavitation after 20-30 min of riding. I Can't figure it out.

Hey I just got a 2002 gtx seadoo and …no key and engine is locked up…I can do the engine side but how and what do I need to do to get the key…I need that b4 I need a engine rebuild/ replacement…any and all help is appreciated

I’ve got the same ski. Had a no start issue so I pulled the plugs and the cylinders were full of water. I cleared the water, reinstalled the plugs and it fired right back up. Do you think that gasket on the top end went bad?

Great Video been watching your other Seadoo Stuff last year , I have the same ski 99 limited replaced the grey fuel lines , I also had to replace the MPEM , $500, Fast machine also have a 94 XP 657X rebuilt fun stuff ... did you get this fixed up ? summer is here .
Yes I did, replaced MPEM and key switch and she ran perfect
I had one of these. 2 engines later i was done spending money on. Extremely fun ski to ride but only getting 100hrs out of each engine isnt worth it to me. I swapped to the kawi ultra 150 and got close to 300hrs before the engine let loose. The kawi was alot faster but handled like shit.
You also have a slipping starter Bendix probably a bad ground pretty sure it's not a computer
Replaced the computer and it ran perfect!

I just bought one and I’m unclear on if it takes regular gas or if I am supposed to mix it with oil… the original owner said he just used gas because there is a oil reservoir that mixes it automatically… I can’t find anything online that says the right way to do it
Add regular gas to the gas tank and make sure there is always oil in the oil tank
the battery date is 7/2014
Hey just got a 1998 Sea-Doo 951 same one you're working on here my boss gave me with the trailer he said he paid 1500 for it through in 2000 dollars more and within 20 minutes he seems smoke there was a little fire he put it out hold it back to shore he got a brand new wiring harness just never got around to putting it in so I'm going to attempt it not sure what I'm in store for any tips?
Did he get a new MPEM box aswell?

So I had my piston blow up about three years ago its been stored and sitting since trying to find an engine for it it's a 2001 951cc GTXDI model. I have just recently came aross a rebuild kit. If my cylinders and case are in good condition will this work? My problem before was because the shavings from the blown up piston got into my crankcase. Help would be amazing if anyone has insight on my problem. Thank you.

With the trailer that is not a bad deal. If it truly only needs a top end I would jump on it
