Everything , and yes his Gospel music was Blessed by God , his 3 Grammys!
T-roy Entertainment yes, his only Grammys were for his gospel music.
He should've had Grammy's for his other music but the jealousy was rampant! Makes me so mad that the powers that be waited until After he died to talk about what a musical genius he was! It would've meant so much to him to be recognized while he was alive, and maybe he wouldn't have been in such despair! Just maybe he would've got a different manager and been able to record the songs He wanted to do by different songwriters! He would've gotten to tour Europe like he always wanted! He needed a challenge as all people like himself, otherwise they get bored. It kills their spirit. He didn't enjoy the last year of his life because Parker over committed him and kept him on the road at an exhausting pace! He had serious health issues as well. He O'D a couple of times before and Parker Knew that but still pushed him! I think he lost his will to keep going.

Elvis, as a young boy, actually sang in churches. He attended a Black Baptist Curch as a child, and the Pastor tells about it in the video "Elvis and the Black Community". It was his Mother's influence that stayed with him all his life. She doted on him perhaps because his twin brother, Jesse Garon Presley, was stillborn. He remained an only child. I love your reactions. Because you are an accomplished artist yourself, I watch your facial reactions. You seem to pay particular attention to the music, band and, of course Elvis singing. I don't go to church because of their hypocracy I tried all different kinds of churches before I quit going. I still pray and believe in the Lord and definitely play Elvis gospel music! He takes me to church for sure!

He was so gorgeous in this movie.
One of my Favorites! Even though it's a movie clip you can really see how much he loves gospel! He's really feeling the song, and his whole body's moving, which shows once again he can't help moving when he's singing! He grew up in a church that it's natural to move with the music! I can't believe how they put him down as being vulgar when he started his career! If they'd had their way, we'd never had Elvis! The Lord had bigger plans for him, and no man could stop him!
Yes, God used Elvis and today still his songs are still working on the soul and spirit of the listeners! God surely blessed Elvis.

I’m late to your party! Was searching for Elvis’ version of this gospel song and love your reaction. I was a teen when Elvis burst onto the scene. Mum, my sister and I sang trio mostly in church (rural white Baptist Canada). Our church was dead boring, but the fundamentalist church nearby ROCKED musically so I’d go there just for the music. Your love of this genre shines clearly through. Have you ever heard (or done) Neil Diamond’s Brother Love’s Travelling Show? He bought the house down in stuffy old Toronto with that in the 70s.
