Excellent video Ryan! Just picked up a 10 year old camera too! Content is always first, audio and then video! Really great to have a camera that is good and would not break the bank if needed to be replaced! As always looking forward to your next adventure.
No way!!! 2024 is just a year to be buying 10 year old cams haha!! So interested, what did you end up picking up? Definitely feels better to have a camera which wouldn't be the end of the world if anything happened to it! Thank you for watching :)
@@ryandobal Been exploring the less than popular bridge cameras. I have 2 Pentax bridges now, the X-5 and the XG-1 Really enjoy the X-5 due to the tilt screen and EVF. the XG-1 does not have a tilt screen, both are 16mp, one with a 26x optical, the other a 52x :)
Just bought it today for around 260 USD. Also a 24-150 F4 for 300 USD. 11000 shutter count and everything are in the good shape , come with boxes. Really love it after I tried at a camera store. Actually I planned to buy another model but end up with 70D
Do you think the 70D would be the best choice for shooting RAW video with Magic Lantern? Can you shoot RAW video with Magic Lantern on the 70D while maintaining the dual pixel autofocus? Thanks!
Hi, canon70d is my first and only camera but can you do a favor for me on how o set it up with the raveneye transmitter because all i can see my monitor blank. Thank you
I think it's a great budget option! I shot a test short film with the Canon Rebel T6i, which is arguably worse. It still turned out in my opinion so if that was able to do it, the 70d can. Here's the video back when I did that th-cam.com/video/I4FIcfJu9sM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vzsndIyWPkA1uNo-
its not the camera its the photographer we get it you paid a bajillion on a new camera but i bet you could get as good shots because you are the talent. its nice to have expensive gear but what good is a car that goes 200 mph when the speed limit on every road is 75 ?
I bought one last year and it was an upgrade from my previous camera. I love it so much! Now I want something smaller lol
Running my 70D with a Tamron 24-70mm. Yeah, it's not the best lens for a crop sensor camera but I love running around with the two.

What about the 80D?
80d is more expensive. However, the difference between 70d and 80d is not big. I recommend cheaper 70d for cost-effectiveness.
Definitely a great secondary camera to have as a part of your gear. Love your content Ryan! 🙌
Absolutely! Very glad you're enjoying it!!!! :)
im looking forward to begging filmaking, is the canon eos 70d right fort that ?
70D sucks for video trust me

Great video. love it
Thanks!
I now know less about the 70D than I did before watching this video.
Did your mom have to sign for you to buy a camera?
What's the point of this comment? Just being mean for the sake of it!
At this young age, he is doing so much more than his peers.
What have you done?
Who cares how he got the camera? You wish your mom would buy you a camera! Lol. And this camera is ancient! It's not even a big deal! 😅
