Today, Craig and Celeste compare two different varieties of Sapodilla grown here at our farm - Alano and Silas Woods. Mr Fluffles - Valerie's new bunny tries it too. Sapodilla trees grow very well in Sarasota, Florida and it is a flood tolerant fruit tree.
Sulcata Grove is our 2 acre, backyard food forest. We grow over 60 varieties of bananas along with over 150 other fruit trees. Our videos are family friendly. We offer online and in person fruit tree consultations for those wanting to grow their own fruit trees. We also sell fruit and fruit trees locally.

"No, that's not very good" LOL! We still like the wax bottles too Celeste :) I've never had Sapodilla. The cutest bunny ever seems to enjoy it!

Haha at least you tried them together, maybe some lime would lessen the intense sweet of the Alano.

Luis We haven’t tasted Makok yet. We recently planted a Hasya, Molix, and Morena.

I have an existing Alano Tree that is about 3 years old. This is my second season eating fruit. Mine don’t seem to grow very large. My question does a Silas Wood produce larger fruit.

Silas Wood is a smaller fruit on our tree than Alano (with the exception of a few larger fruits the tree occasionally produces.) Tikal is the largest sapodilla we grow.
