I do the fire rate version and instead of taking the 2nd charge rate perk across the bottom I take the bottom row for ammo economy before bathing back up for the damage. I also take the squad perk 25% more ammo. The only time I use the Plasma pistol is to stop reinforcement calls and to take out the green flying things that got kamikaze. I was able to hit a massive wave and a hellbrute and still had a little bit of ammo left over. Sacrifices a little bit of survivability but I lean on the iron halo to compensate. Do footstomps on trash mobs to keep getting armor charges. I really like this setup a lot and I think it solves the issues a lot of others seem to run into in their solo runs.
It has 80 if you take the teamperk for extra ammo instead of reduced ranged damage but chaos deal mostly ranged so its quite inconvenient to take that perk. Double the ammo would make the ammo perks less required though, I think 50% more would be a decent sweetspot... can't really buff this bloblauncher any more without giving the heavy bolter some love first :/
Just aim better man. Having to think about your shots is precisely the deal with this weapon. I run 40 bullets on artificer and always get to the next crate with some bullets to spare. The buff with last patch certainly makes it way easier
it not that bad even with 40 rounds...my problem is trying to aim it to land the shot over enemy instead my team mate took it or it somehow homing over smaller enemy head
Plasma is a fucking dangerous weapon in WH40k, in a way not seen often in our universe. It's possibly lethal to not just the target, but also the operator. Possibly even to allies near the operator. In-universe, designing this thing to hold 61+ rounds probably represents an unacceptable risk measured against factors like the strength of standard patterns of vehicle and spaceship hulls and the armor of battle-brothers. Also factor in the Warp; maybe a critical detonation of a plasma weapon with enough energy in it for 69 shots summons Slaanesh themself to begin the final cockgobbling of all warp-sensitive species
He didn’t use the pp with the heavy Bolter, which is surprising, but I at least see the reasoning here. Good to have at least one hitscan weapon. The just need to give the bolt pistol some love tbh
@@Sergio-th7os it's a MILLION times better then the bolt pistol wtf u tlking about. In Ruthless it 2 shots heavies... Plasma rifle is alright now since the buff, just a bigger version of the pistol now. Not saying bolt pistol is bad, just not on the level of plasma pistol ur tripping..

@@EKk8819 i dont feel any burden carrying the team at all, weapons are there to be utilised in the armory, feel free to use any loadout we like, respectively. I would rather take on & conquer a challenge, than using any easy, fast clearing, boring, zero adrenaline rush meta build. Weapon perks, class perks are there. Tons of things to try out man, just enjoy the game 👌🏽

Give it double the ammo and it'll be a good weapon. Why it only has like 60 rounds i'll never know.

It only has 60 ammo because a charged shot is more damage than a relic Las sniper. after the buffs this gun is amazing now.

Why use bolt pistol though when the plasma pistol’s ammo + reduced charge shot cost effects both weapons? Double plasma supremacy

Fighting Chaos might be a headache at times, but I sure do enjoy the "Point and click adventure" that is a blob of cultists.
Bro this weapon has the HIGHEST damage of the 3 by far. 1 fully charge shot will incapacitate majorias enemies
