Have you ever tried to sharpen an image with the LAB method within RawTherapee?
On TH-cam there are many tutorials (for Affinity photo, Photoshop etc) which show how you apply this color mode for this purpsose.

Thanks for the feedback, Silvio. I have not looked into LAB sharpening. Actually, this is the first I've ever heard of it. I'll look into it and see what I can find.
