- In this video I will be showing you how to fix the Technics SL-MC409 error screen. When turning on the disc changer, it would check for discs for about 5-10 seconds then the display would show "error." Here is a solution to that. Like and comment please. Thank You!

Buk..Wine?.Women?..Song?..Drugs?..whaddaya want?..I bought this beast in the 90's @ a Lechmere Store long gone..Can't tell you how many times my girls shoved 2 discs into one slot on party nites and tried to open the door while playing and how many times I had taken apart and revived it but could not get past this one..Ordered the belt and voila!..She's alive again and working for us old men that still spin cd's..TH-cam is good for SOME things...BIG THANKS BRO!!!

My cd changer had the same exact problem. I tried using a rubber band and it worked perfectly. I will be ordering the original band as soon as I find it. I’ll try eBay also This was my father’s stereo. I will keep it for the rest of my life. I wish he was here with me to enjoy the sound again 😭😭. THANK YOU INFINITY

We have the same system my dad bought back in 2000s and we still have it but it had the same error issue and last it was played maybe 15years back and we didn't touch it since then due to Bluetooth technology. Now I came acros s your video and solved the issue. Thanks once again my friend

Cool, changing my 410 next week, for a now a hair rubber band is doing the trick. Didn’t expect that to last long, LOL. I ordered oem from ebay.
I just found one of these on the side of the dumpster after I walked to the store for a Arizona tea .. so excited !
I actually just decided to use it finally ! I came back to this video and it was the same problem someone had which made them throw it out! Thanks for the help

I have a Technics SL-MC59 and it makes a humming sound like something is stuck and a motor is working hard. I get an error message. Any idea what it is. I didn't open the unit yet.
it is probably the same issue. when you turn it on the only thing moving is the motor. then the machine does its routine check before use using that motor. if there's no band attached that motor will just spin endlessly. or some may turn off. i would open it and see exactly where the noise if coming from.

Is that the only belt it uses? I have the same issue, and will be attempting to fix it
That is the only band that is used to move the disc tray left to right vice versa.
