Just got a year sober and this song is just it. I laugh more often now. I cry more often now. I am more me. 😌
congrats man. Keep it going. ;-)
I feel the same (lyrics wise)... keep going
Keep up the good work brother! It’s not hard. But it does get easier as time goes on. I am coming up on 3 years on October 29
hell yeah
Good job man. Don't worry if you hit bumps in the road, it's ok, you'll find yourself more and more all the time. I've been there. I actually found that I cried at the most subtle times, often during movies. It was like I had gone so many years without feeling emotions that even the hint of something real just grabbed my heart and wrenched it and I had so much emotion built up to give.
I remember when, when I first moved here
A long time ago
'Cause I'd heard some song I used to hear back then
A long time ago
I remember when, even further back
In another town
'Cause I saw something written I used to say back then
Hard to comprehend
And the question is, was I more alive then than I am now?
I happily have to disagree
I laugh more often now, I cry more often now
I am more me
But of course some days I just lie around
And hardly exist
And can't tell apart what I'm eating
From my hand or my wrist
'Cause flesh is flesh, flesh as flesh as flesh
The difference is thin
But life has a certain ability of breathing new life into me
So I breathe it in
It says here we are and we all are here
And you still can make sense
If you just show up and present an honest face
Instead of that grin
And the question is, was I more alive then than I am now?
I happily have to disagree
I laugh more often now, I cry more often now
I am more me
And the other day, this new friend of mine
Said something to me
"Just because something starts differently
Doesn't mean it's worth less"
And I soaked it in, how I soaked it in
How I soaked it in
And just as to prove how right he was
Then you came
So I'm gonna give, yes I'm gonna give
I'm gonna give you a try
So I'm gonna give, yes I'm gonna give
I'm gonna give you a try
And the question is, was I more alive then than I am now?
I happily have to disagree
I laugh more often now, I cry more often now
I am more me
Shoresy, no matter what - you're hockey legend!
Yes. I understand now.
A SONG FOR LIFE. A SONG FOREVER.
"Go till you can't go no more".
I get this image of me running in the field. Just being free and enjoying the afternoon gloomy weather.
You should do it.....
This song is fucking amazing
Best song from this album
Discovery weekly threw it back to my pre-teen years with this one and damn, have I just always been sad?
rhythm-section is so cool in it... and lyrics are also easy to relate to if you left home some time ago..
i Love this song...
This album got me through a lot of shit. Still 🔥🔥🔥 in 21.
Got me through my separation/divorce back in 2007. Definitely came out on the other side.
@@ricg2121I'm still single. My youngest graduated HS. Coming back to this song is like an old friend visiting me. ❤
These songs are incredible.
This song is so fucking good! Still have to revisit it here and now.
