Absolutely marvelous. A wonderful collection of black and white memories from the most important day in a couple's life. I just got an M8.2. Your work is so good I think I will just put my camera in a drawer and forget about it. You are a gifted person. Congratulations!
@@emanuele_scicolone I just read your note so I watched the video again. Unlike most wedding albums when I watch yours I feel I have been at the wedding. It is about joy, and family. Whatever you do, do not put that camera down. You have a gift. Hone it, use it. And, again, thank you and your art.
I thought I was doing something bring my M240 to incorporate into shooting with the SL. I would have never tried this with the M8. Not only did you pull this off but you've also managed to get exceptional photos. BRAVO!
This the 1st time I am commenting on a youtube video. Your confidence on manual control is an inspiration. Your skills are amazing. Keep up the good work. Great Job
To shoot a wedding is nerve wracking. To shoot a wedding with a (then)10-year old rangefinder camera... Seriously: how do you even sit down? You must have balls the size of ostrich eggs. Awesome pictures. Absolutely gorgeous. Kudos!
You do have a good point there, Emanuele. I just got my M8 a few weeks ago, I still need to practice. Lots and lots. :) I find low-light, low-contrast conditions quite difficult, but I'm sure I'll get better over time. Too bad I'm not anywhere near Milano. I saw your event in the M8 FB group today. Sounds great - Have fun!
Hi. I enjoy viewing your beautiful photographs. May I know did you shoot in Raw ? Did you apply any post processing ? The b&w pics are very pleasing to view, not very often seen. BTW, I ask mostly because I am looking for a good camera which can produce wonderful black and white pics, like those from Kodak Tri X.Thanks !!
Hi thank you! Yes I shoot in raw and post processing in b&w. I work with film too, Leica M3+Summicron50mm Rigid (or Zeiss Planar 50mm/2) with Tri X 400 developed with HC110 Dil H, so whan I shoot with the M8 I want to have similar results. I think the M8 is the only camera with this rendering.
Emanuele Scicolone Thank you for your prompt reply. I am considering a M8 too, just wish it is a little more affordable. How about Ricoh GR or Fuji X series ? Do you have experience with them in term of B&W pics ?
Hi Carlo, thank you for appreciation. I shoot in manual mode, I prefer to have total control over aperture, shutter and iso. I work without flash and the most important thing is to make good use of the ambient light:)
Hi! I use darktable to processing raw images. Here I tell about M8... but it's only in italian :D www.emanuelescicolone.it/blog/leica-m8-la-poesia-del-bianco-e-nero
Bravo looks great - photos taken with heart and soul
Thank you!!

Ahahahah thank you Kaat! Actually I find it better with a rangefinder than with a modern camera full of buttons... ;)

Hello, what a beautiful video. I watched several times to learn some tricks from you. Any chance you can share with us your M8 settings? Thank you

Emanuele Scicolone Can you post on your blog more about how you use your M8? You convert to b&w ? What is you max iso ? Love to see more ;)

Great photos, what focal lengths were used please?
Hi Richard, thank you. The Voigtlander 40mm f1.4 is a 50mm in Leica M8. I use only 50mm as focal lenghts.
Beautiful
