First and foremost, I agree with you upto a reasonable extent that the P.L.E assessment is flawed, considering that pupils are examined for 2hours on content taught for 7years. This has lots of inconsistencies and unfairness. However, I don't agree with you that P.L.E should be abandoned completely. I would rather suggest to have progressive assessment exams within the 7 years and then summative scores considered in the final year to determine admission of pupils to secondary level. I am convinced that this is a more cogent method of assessment and tests different strength and weakness of our children at different levels of their Primary education. Thank you
