Volvo safety in the real world...and re-created by Volvo. An inspiring look at how Volvo dominates automotive safety through the use of their accident investigation team and their revolutionary safety center.
My friend survived a severe side impact similar to this in a 2016 Ford Focus sedan which I believe is based on a previous Volvo model arquitecture body structure. Paramedics were impressed he survived. Also had curtain airbags and boron steel in passenger cabin.
They are known, for having a safety cage or cabin that protected all the occupants, in the car, no matter how severe was the accident , it would just crumple up rather affecting the occupants.
S60 save his life and his friend they in different car come out different story that’s why I love Volvo so much my dream own a Volvo if anything happened to me feeling ok I feel safe I driving my Volvo
see I want to be car crash test engineer I want work for volvo cars Safely centre in 🇸🇪💪 and I love you volvo so much and I want help save life’s our road more safely
@Hkandiel me too,, i prefer safey than anything else thats why i choose "seatbelts,, anti lock breaks, traction control, air bags and pre safe system" ... i choose mercedes :p
Not even true, everything you mentioned here was either made by Volvo and implemented first by Volvo or Volvo had a direct hand in making and development. They made the 3 point seatbelt we use today for example and left it unlicensed and without patents not because they had to or anything, but because they saw the bigger picture and wanted to save more lives allowing other car makers to implant same seatbelt systems. Great example of Volvo making something people thinking some other company did it. As a side note; grill on Volvo’s gives a quiet nod to them inventing the thing that has saved countless lives, 3 point seatbelt, ever notice the diagonal bar across the grill and threw the logo? The more you know.
Happy Choco -- probably I drove a Volvo semi truck and it was very nice too , one of our drivers rear-ended another semi in the fog I couldn't believe he survived the collision at freeway speed , but he walked away from it and returned to work after a three day suspension
0:05 - "the three point safety belt" - stop there woman, without a group of university students working for Ford, inventing the safety belt, Volvo wouldn't have their beloved safety belt. Other than that, I must admit that i'm iompressed by the money Volvo invests into safety.
Impossible to recreate excatly same outcome as there is millions of laws of physics that took place there in the real accident. its really close to the real one
The curtain airbag and Volvo saved his life
That's crazy! How anyone can survive a horrific accident at that speed and live to talk about it is beyond my understanding.

Thank God for the Volvo engineers.
Volvo for life...
What was the speed of the side impact?
The survivor looks like Drake xD
Kid cudi not drake :p
I am trying to figure out, if the newer cars, are built, on the same platform, where all the occupants of the car, are protected, like in the cabin
Am gessing not.
It has all the elements.
And that's y I drive a Volvo
how did he survive
Sure you do..
*impressed.
I always get a nosebleed whenever I get in a Volvo.

the 3 dot belt is a swedish invention far as I know.
He didnt say thank god i nswedish it's just a bad translation
no thank God is right
thank you Volvo. thank you.
Wait until you see SAAB
he looked like drake at the end.
SAAB have gone bust.
So does that mean Volvo trucks are the safety vehicle on the road?
Happy Choco -- probably I drove a Volvo semi truck and it was very nice too , one of our drivers rear-ended another semi in the fog I couldn't believe he survived the collision at freeway speed , but he walked away from it and returned to work after a three day suspension
Do some research. We are talking about the 3 point safety belt. Volvo invented it.
Do some research, Ford were the first to put seatbelts in the front and rear.
jaffacake1578 they mean 3 point seat belts which are MUCH safer than the useless airplane belts that cars used to use
jaffacake1578 volvo invented the seatbelt
Is that Drake's father ? O.O
Drake at 5:12
wtf @ 1:05
Scania? THAT SUCKS!
hahahaha I know him

the real accident was worse, it was at higher speed and maybe with another angle
So how did the test still result in the same outcome?
Impossible to recreate excatly same outcome as there is millions of laws of physics that took place there in the real accident. its really close to the real one
Pessenger death volvo bed american cars sefer the volvo
Her reporting style is very annoying to me, especially her constant questions and short clauses followed by long pauses.
