It's a pump action...Mossberg 500 E series. If you want to modify the barrel...DON'T ...there are factory offered 18.5 -inch "Security" barrels. Though you may need to contact Mossberg's customer service number and request one (I ordered two of them years ago for both of my 500 E's ).
