i am in final year mca , the biggest problem today with mca is not the course but its eligibilities . History- Mca was made to be a three year course for training people to join tech , when tech came into india , so it was open for all people that worked that time but now its backfiring , people dont know that syllabus of bca and mca is actually same!! , yes guys its truth , the curriculum is actually same mca is considered a course for non tech people to have a entry in tech , thats why in mca either you will get the best guys who know everything about code and the worst guys who even don't know hello world Mca guys are jobless because 50 percent of people doing mca are not who do bca , you cannot jump into mca right away and now it has been a 2 years course also Till mca is not done to be only bca eligible or it is merged with msc it , the course is going to be irrelevant , btech mca and msc it bca actually have same syllabus 🤣
I am in BCA final year and i think you are right bcz BCA MCA syllabus more or less same. People from BSC background applies as they are good in MATHS they are able to crack MCA entrance. In MCA entrance they ask more maths Qs and very few Computer science questions thats what i dont like it. U wanna do masters in computer applications not in maths.
💯 agreed but companies don't acknowledge that. They put Btech and MCA on the same level. So anyone who slacked in BCA should do MCA but those who where on top of there classes. And are a bit good in coding should look for job, for them MCA is a waste. Bcz MCA does not guarantee a job you will still have to look for a job after doing MCA, its just to add to your resume. After 1-2 yrs in IT no one looks at your degree, but your experience and skills.

I got MCA at vit Vellore and took it, as my BCA college didn't have on campus placement and off campus I was not clearing the DSA rounds. Is MCA from vit Vellore a good decision and considering I had done 2 internship and a wide set of skills.

No, go for master’s I’m doing MCA from IPU, well get the master degree cause it helps you in settle outside India if you want. And also you want to be eligible in most of the companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc.
