@@mathewtipich2266 I bought a Gretsch Honeydipper 9 years ago, and I love it. It's only 12 fret and no cutaway, but it's a great slide guitar. Great for blues fingerpicking as well. Sweetwater lists it at $699. Gig bag - $50. I bought the first model brought in to my favourite guitar shop, by the NYC distributor. I got there 20 minutes after he got there, and I bought it on the spot. I still miss my antique Nationals (that's another story) but for the price, this is pretty hard to beat.
Geez, that is amazing! I always thought that nobody could really beat the Animals recording, but i've been proven wrong. It's an interesting song, with the BPM and strumming changing. It's different, and that is what I love about it. You don't get sick of it, because I do not know what to expect on the next verse or chorus. I'd also like to add that you did some great dancing!
I love TH-cam. Ive been listening to so many talented artists lately that i otherwise would never have heard of because they arent on a mainstream platform. Great rendition of a great song. Love this
@@Dixe-r7u It almost seems like they are designed to snap on the turnaround, just as you wanna get busy... lol. Tortex, sounds like snappy rubber pick, will look. Fender mediums are rather stiff, but very durable, yes. something in between a matchbook cover and the fender medium... I play hummingbird and such, banjo is a dream atm.

My first reso was a cheapie but it sounded great after I trued up the spider, fiddled with the very edges of the cone a bit to make the cone sit up a tiny bit higher, and carved new bridges with little violin-like feet cut into them. My son has it now. 🎵

What kind of picks do you use?
Some cellulose cheapo picks which have immaculate flex but crackle every 4 bars. Ridiculously cheap, 40 picks, 3 dollah
@ I think you should buy some Fender mediums or Dunlop Tortex picks, they are my personal favorites, they also won’t snap quite as easy.
