I have Ride Vision on my bike for the last year. It is worth every penny. The two near misses I avoided (that were picked up by the system) were a delivery rider on a moped & an electric bicycle overtaking/undertaking in the blind spot. It provides that extra layer of security.
Ride Vision can also help reduce your insurance premium.
Thanks MOTOBOB for the fantastic content.

I once nearly got wiped out by a police car travelling at very high speed using blue lights. I was in lane 2: Checked mirror: All clear: Started to move into lane 3: Checked again: 'Oh crap!'. My mate following behind had seen it, so it was my fault. The police car slowed down so they could do 'The stare'. Ride Vision 2 would no doubt have saved me from that embarrasing near-death event!

I have to say I'm very very interested. Recording video, and blind spot detection are the key bits for me.
I've very nearly had one of the Innov cameras installed, but I did also want blind spot detection.
The "you're going too fast and could hit the vehicle in front" warning is sort of useful, but generally I'm highly aware of that.
It's the blind spots that have always been an issue, and why I've tended to avoid riding on dual carriage ways.
Looking over my shoulders means I'm not looking forwards !

My brother always complains about how his Bolt EV has all these camera-based indicators for blind spot and forward collision warning and yet can’t use the cameras as a DVR. We figure that someone must have a patent preventing manufacturers from integrating DVRs in cars that already have cameras, since Tesla is the only one we’re aware of that has the option from the factory. It’s just so weird to buy a DVR and add a redundant camera when there is already a camera.

Does this system inform you of a potential crash from the rear? Such as when sitting at a red light or just from very fast moving traffic from the rear either in your lane and not changing trajectory or a fast mover from the rear changing trajectory from another lane. If so, then how does it notify you of a potential collision from the rear as opposed to the front? If not, might this be a software update they are planning to make?

very nice, here are some thoughts/suggestions:
    1. need to note that dash-cams are illegal in some countries (e.g. Portugal). it's important to add an external indication that recording is on/off (which police can understand and trust)
    2. assuming that a biker will be able to stop the recording after an accident is wrong. I think the recording should auto-stop if the lean sensor indicates that the bike has fallen.
    3. Uri/Moshe: I invite you to check the road to Alonei Abba (you know where it is) where Mobileye constantly fails (false-positives - front collision alerts)
    4. I'd love to see an option (a-la-mobileye) to detect speed limit signs and alert when speeding (though, I get it, it'll make the product more expensive)

In general, most bikers don’t seem that interested in safety to judge by the reluctance to wear visible gear and the many needlessly dangerous manoeuvres that I see so often (riding 10 meters behind a car at 120 mk/h on a KTM 1290 Super Adventure; risky overtakes that leave you stuck behind the next car rather the the previous one). I suppose the already safe riders might add another layer of safety.

Certainly curious about this as well. To your point... the young bucks that are generally going double the speed limit at any given time... are a) not as concerned about safety b) feel they are already invincible c) likely believe they also can't afford it in the first place. Of course the irony is... that it's the young stupid riders that would likely benefit from the use of the product more so than the already older and safer riders... who are likely to certainly be the early adopters of this sort of tech.

The blind spot feature is nice, but I'm pretty sure that I can tell if I'm too close or about to hit something that's right in front of me. And as for the potato video, I think I'll pass on that too. And the price? I don't know where you buy your dash cams from, but I could get a dual camera & screen setup for all 3 of my bikes for much less than this.

Tesla use the same sort of thing, which is why they keep running over motorcyclists in the dark- camera, it's not so good in the dark. Optical is cheaper than radar.

Yeah I watched the F9 video on this and I guess the big difference here is that you're still in control of the vehicle and responsible for it, as opposed to being self-driving.

Impressive. I have never even owned a bike with any sort of electronic gizmo. Ie. All pre such intervention. Good idea as a warning system. Still giving the rider the choice. So many things on the market now that react for you. I don't trust any of them. Just ask Tesla. What else can they hit.

Good obs, and defensive riding, will still do far more than this ever will.
If people were less reliant on tech, and more reliant on skill, the roads would be safer for all users.
The amount of vloggers on TH-cam that spend so little time riding properly, because "content and likes" is shocking.
Just got to your quote "it's like having an angel on your shoulder reminding you to take care", which kind of says it all.
Just my opinion. If people feel the need to use this kind of feature, I'd recommend advanced riding lessons instead.

I do NOT like the fact they chosen a yellow colour for the detection. It makes car drivers beside you and behind thinking your indicating when your not. That is not safety.
All the LED's should be red.
Unless you can change the yellow led colour I wont be buying it
