Just started BJJ this past week, had another fella in class last night for his first class and we were working this escape…poor guy sh!t himself at the same point during the escape 😂
Thanks brother very helpfull i got stuck while sparring. Our professor let us start in the back controll position and let u figure out how to get the guy of our back. Very hard but now i have more options
Good vid just wanted to add that if you fight for the underhook you can come out to top control. Like at 5:40 or so if you spin thru and use your left arm to get that far side underhook on your partners right then you will almost always win the battle to get top position and stop him from remounting.
I request a Seinfeld edit for this episode. You should use that casual fart that can be heard around 4 minutes in as a sound bite Instead of the traditional sound you use at the end of the video when the grappling academy logo appears
Sometimes as I try to fall to opponent's "weak" side (that is where they have the underhook), they switch grips and move their underhook out and over to become the choking arm. This is especially problematic for me in no gi. Any advice appreciated.
It's a fine martial art, but it's still faces the limitations followers criticize other arts as having. BJJ is limited by being an art and is not the "ultimate fighting technique" The two easiest and most effective breaks for this: tne, the ankle only has about 60 to 80 deg ROM. You have both hands free, and his feet are right in front of you. Do I really need to tell you to torque his foot to the outside? You can easily break an ankle like this. Second, reach up and grab his ear, you can easily tear it off. On the same vein, you can gouge an eye. He can lose an eye or ear or break the hold, his choice. Then there is small joint manipulation on the attackers hands, I can do all manner of stuff. I have two hands free and only need to attack a single hand of the attacker to break that hold. Pry and attack the thumb of the opponent. Grip and Pierce between the radius and alna with my thumb, which can be a fatal move if executed properly with enough force. Then there is biting the attackers arm. Of course these are all banned moves in a BJJ or UFC arena, but work spectacularly in the real world
I lost it when he farted💀😂
I rewound that shit like 5 times
@@sikturko hahah i rewound it then had to check the comments, i thought i heard a fart!

Thanks! I need to work on these! 45-year-old white belt who has been struggling the last two years.
One of the best jj resources on the internet. Thank you!
Let’s be honest, most people accidentally let a little fart out at some point every class.
Hahaha I stoppped and rewound to see if thats what I heard
In sankaku gatame this might be against geneva convention.
(just a joke, farts happen, you are right)
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣 . They did the best option and pretended it didn't happen. But the echo.....
I use it as an offense.
You've got a great instructive style. Thanks.
Thought I heard you butt burp! Must've been the REAL secret to escaping the back mount. 😂

This goes along with class this week, good stuff. 💪🏾
Can we do a video of how to escape/defend farts on the mat?
Lol
I know it’s not the ideal option but do you have the escape from strong side where you pull your head under strong arm?
Yes you can certainly escape that way. Experience is key and finding “your” escape favorites is the best path (-:
dude y'all hear that fart @4:00 ?
By the way I still think this video is excellent
