Hey this happened with me as well. My plot (approx 14,000sqft) was bordering a bigger plot in a similar locality. The bigger plot was sold to a very reputed and politically connected builder in Mumbai, the bmc people charged me with fines in lakhs of rupees. They intentionally broke the compund wall and said that it was a accident, krane se pipe rakhte time wall damage hogayi. They didn't allow me to rebuild the wall. They started using the plot as a road, and had even dug up the land as if they were preparing to build a road.
6 years later I won the court case, it was found that the bmc people including a tehsildar had taken advance from the builder for my plot. Now all of them are suspended but it gave me and my parents almost 6 years of trauma and headache

off course living expense alone is way too high in Canada as compared to India let alone the medical and all the other expenses, he is doing everything a parent would do for a secured future of his child.

I don't know man why are u holding so much hatred against India. Firstly I live in Canada since past few years , therefore I can talk about that . 1) Ottawa truckers were on streets few years back and gov threw them out - look Indias farmers protest no one was thrown out. 2) In Canada if business exceeds the profit above 250000 cad then u have to pay 67% capital gain tax and I am sure as Indian resident u can compare the taxes in India. 3) a popular news was out were a student from India was hit by a druggie and in self defense the student hit him back ( the student was jailed for 14 years to hit in self defence whereas the druggie was only sentenced for 4 months) 4 ) Subsidized transportation for seniors 5) I work in a place and happen to meet a lot of clients where , aging population on range 70-85 not unable to walk properly still doing menial jobs in order to make there end meet . These are very examples . I fail to understand why Indians keep complaining about there nation. I have worked in both nations and therefore I can compare about it.
