You just press the H button to advance the hour and the M button to advance the minutes. You might have to press the S button once before using the H/M buttons and once you have set the desired time.
It is always better to use OEM parts to be assured of quality and compatibility. You could use an equivalent 'pirate' part but flasher units are so cheap they are hardly worth the effort to clone.
i had a 02 B3000 that’s flasher relay went bad but then i used a universal one and it worked. it made a different tick when signaling than the OEM one but it still worked. it’s up to you really.

Hi, do you happen to know where the relay is for the wiper intermittent? My wiper only works for slow and fast
Unfortunately, I don't know the exact location, but I would guess it's one of those blue or white relays you can see in the video @1:14.
