- I went to the premiere of Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, hung out with the fans, the cast, the content creators and the celebrities! This is my full scoop on the two days I spent in NYC and what I thought of Sony's exciting new FROZEN Ghostbusters movie.
From a fully decorated Frozen Firehouse, to the pre premiere party with Mckenna Grace, Gil Kenan and Logan Kim. To the fan event with Ernie Hudson! As well as hanging out in the fan area to meet the cast - Paull Rudd, Carrie Coon, Bill Murray and more! This video has it all - including my first reaction and review of what I thought of the new Frozen Empire Movie! Ghostbusters has never looked so 'cool'!

Hard to compare them - as they are very different is scale and scope! I really like both of them for different reasons!
It’s weird to me that everyone keeps dodging this question. It’s not like we’re comparing Oppenheimer to Barbie… it’s 2 Ghostbusters movies. They both have ghosts and they both have busting. It’s ok to pick one with the qualification that your opinion may change on subsequent viewings. Was it in the NDA not to say?
@@PennyEatsPoop Nope - no NDA, I signed nothing, it's just hard to compare them - you will see when you watch it. One is smaller in scope and not in NYC very, very different feel. This is NYC, more of the OG's they are not just playing cameos. This is more the next move for the OG's handing the torch/working together with the new cast.
Is this the scariest of the Ghostbusters movies? My two kids have seen all of them and can’t wait for this one, but from everything I’ve read this one is slightly scarier.
Great question - there are a number of jumps that got me - and depending on their age they may find some of the ghosts or one or two scenes scary/tense - really depends on their age and tolerance. This is totally a family movie - the scares are matched by the comedy and action. My kids have all had different things that they find frighting or worrying as they grew up so it's very individual. Is it the scarcest? It's up there but on a par with some of the scary moments in the others - bath tub eating the baby, Vego/demon, library ghost jump - there is one image early on that is scarier than any other scene I can think of - think Jurassic Park 2 - the boat trashed by the t-rex :)
Are you able answer on if the iconic intro returned? I'm hoping the film begins like the original films did, as well as the video game + 2016 film - it needs that intro for me. Afterlife omitted this and it made a difference
You might be happy 😉 I was so excited and exhausted I might be remembering it wrong - but I’m sure it lands in the same type of spot… intro ‘story’, logo - Into the film
I also think afterlife was a very different film. This in the same space as the OG film with mix of comedy, scares and action- and the OG’s are very much part of the story!

Sorry you didn’t get tickets - Sony ran a mail in for tickets offer on their FB a month ago - my good buddy Nick who owns the Ecto you see in the video also worked with Sony to promote the film.
Frozen Empire is a good and fun movie, just wish they would give the original GB more screen time in uniform and more time fighting with the proton packs along with the new GB's. In both movies they only get 10 minutes in uniform. '
Please do one more movie with the original guys and let them fight more in uniform. That would be great and the fans would love it. Also it will give us a trilogy with the original Ghostbusters along with the new GB's.
Yeah get your point here… think the final of the movie could have done with being a bit longer - but loved it!

I've seen a few reactions from fans who saw it, and I get the impression it's not very good.
Well you will just have to see it in the theatre and decide for yourself 😊 - I Enjoyed it 😊
@@ExperienceExplorers I'm watching it on Saturday. I'm half excited, half anxious. To me the film looks bloated, with too many characters. Also, I just don't have much faith in Gil Kenan or Jason Reitman as writers.
Yeah I get it - I wasn’t so worried as I really like their work. But we all have different tastes and that’s a good thing 😊
@@ExperienceExplorers I saw Ghostbusters in the cinema back in 1984 which I loved, Ghostbusters 2 back in 1989 which I was disappointed by and Ghostbusters Afterlife at the UK premiere, which I was again disappointed by. For me, the only good Ghostbusters film is the original. I really want Frozen Empire is be great but looking at the sequels we've had, my expectations aren't high.
