What's neat about these tricks is you still have to be pretty built to pull it off convincingly - even when you know the trick, the performers who use it well are still impressive.

This metal stand and engineering structure could've been made 100 years ago and, without a video nor the nowadays technology to reveal the secret. Imagine the mind blowing reaction and life changing experience after seeing it for the first time. Also, I came from the video where somebody records a man setting up the stand in a public place but still, I did not get it that time.

That's awesome, but I wonder with this trick how it is isn't given away when the levitating person sets up and breaks down the contraption to leave? They must have to get to the public place before anyone else arrives, and leave late after everyone goes, and what if they have to take a break to use the restroom or get something to eat?

The actual way is having the bar running up the length of your arm. And then the bar being linked to a contraption that wraps around your torso. The bar that comes from your arm then attaches to the pole going to the ground and the contraption around your waist bears the majority of your weight.
True, the actual rig used will be different from the concept. I wonder how Penn and Teller would handle the illusion ... lol
