Honestly, I cannot imagine the world without Japan, nor can I even imagine my childhood without Japan. Cartoons, animations, video games, Nintendo, Sega, Playstation, Japanese cars and electronic devices, video television, cars, which to this day do not compare in quality to any other device, etc. I remember in the 1980s, if he owned a Japanese television, it was king.

anime openings are the definition of don't judge a book by it's cover 25:53 (your lie in april) is very dark, 23:07 ( Puella Magi Madoka Magica) although a magic girl anime has one of the darkest premises i have ever seen. and that's just the tip of the iceberg. The one that was shown when he said that
is a very very good anime
      "Ashita no Joe"
One of the most influential not only to JP anime
But actually towards all east asian fictionnal media!
It doesn't focus as much as Hajime no Ippo on the pure sport aspect
But it is a realistic all encompassing anime of the hardships to overcome just to access to the sport at thz time
It is basically an anime about a sport
But strictly speaking it is tricky to call it simply a "sport anime"
      It is more than that.

The first anime that was produced in Japan, Namakura Gatana (Blunt Sword), was made June 30, 1917, it is even argue it was made from 1911
Meanwhile manga's origin is dated back from 12th century, with some forms also appearing during the 13th century. Books containing drawings reemerged during the Edo period (1603-1867), with Toba Ehon being a notable example. These books paved the way for the emergence of real manga. The term “Manga” was actually consolidated in 1798, in Japan

Loved the reaction! The anime your lie in april is actually very sweet anime but also has a slightly dark side. It is about the girl getting a former piano prodigy back into playing. You should definitely watch to the end for an emotional gut punch if you like those. I agree with you on the sports anime some might not think they are as appealing as others. I personally love some of the sports anime. If your looking for a boxing anime go for hijime no ippo. It bas to be one of the best by far. Since you like samurai anime and are getting into sports anime I would suggest the anime mutsu enmei ryuu. It is about a certain style of swordsmen who use their hands like blades. So its kinda like introducing martial arts to counter swordsmen and end the samurai era. Some consider martial arts and even swordsmenship a sport so i figured this fits. The series covers 3 of the mustu users over the years I believe some with call backs to previous ones thus keeping the legend of the mutsu style around. The anime opening for that series is great too. Its one of those anime openings that make you wanna get up and move but also feel free to explore the world at the same time. I also grew up watching digimon, pokemon, and yugioh. When comparing the yugioh and digimon anime openings in english to their japanese I liked both but must say I prefered the english. Now I might be a bit biased speaking english and no japanese so... theres that. I will say i definetely liked the english pokemon theme better but i havent heard the whole japanese version yet so i will have to check it out. The english 2.B. A master og pokemon anime soundtrack was the best. Some of those I will still listen to like road to veridian city and the to be a master song.

Actually, it is well known how Disney stole the idea from Lion King to Tezuka, a very famous manga artist, maybe the most famous one ever, Kimba story is litteraly the same but it was made long before Lion King. I remember seeing this on TV during the 80s and found that Lion King was a total copy of it when it was released a decade later.

    • @hiyazekku66
      @hiyazekku66 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, explain how a lion cub attempting to civilize animals in a jungle and even convincing them to be vegetarians (in direct opposition to the message of the circle of life) and even includes humans in the story is in anyway related to a story that is essentially Hamlet with lions. Or how bullshit videos comparing scenes between a series (Kimba) made up of hundreds and hundreds of hours of footage from mostly unconnected episodic stories is at all a fair comparison to an hour and a half movie. None of the characters (as in animal comparisons) even play remotely the same role they play in the Lion King. But yeah, you know, it's just a rip off. Because if one property set in Africa features the same African animals as another, it's clearly a rip off.

If you really do love anything samurai maybe give Samurai Champloo a chance. It's only 26 episodes and directed by Shinichiro Watanabe the same guy that did Cowboy Bebop. You'll know if you like it after the 1st episode. That might be fun for reactions. Take a few suggestions and react to the first episode of each to see which one you want to continue.
P.s. Nooooo you're planning on watching Hunter Hunter? You committed to that?

Dragon Ball revolutionized so much with the anime intros.
Also for shounen anime itself. It became the blueprint. Characters like Naruto are all versions of Goku.I'd say Goku and Shinji from NGE are 2 of the most influential anime protagonists. Deku from MHA and Simon from Gurren Lagann are for example versions of Shinji.
