pro strat for stash: build crates and stash them on top of each other in a thick tree. infinite stash nobody will find that stays for weeks or longer if you interact w it. crates can be built with planks + nails so you need a saw, hatchet and nails only
Big tip T.😀 when your entering a building or room have your gun in the hip fire position because you can see more in the room,plus the person might try to run past you and you won’t be able to shoot him by the time he gets behind you. So until you know exactly where they are in the room,then you can ads through the optic or iron sight but it’s always better to hip fire in buildings until they are abit further down range to use your optic/iron sight.

I watch every episode and will try to answer any questions you have, DayZ takes 10s if not 100s of hours to fully learn, and I still find new tricks! As far as loot being buried, on vanilla it lasts 14 days, but the counter will reset every time you dig it up. If you make a base you can build a flag pole, which lasts 30 days and resets by raising the flag. As far as hackers, on PC it is a problem but mainly on official. Most community servers have admins, so cheaters might pop up, but are usually dealt with quickly(note: some community servers are a lot better about it than most) I believe it’s called DayOne servers that most the TH-camrs/streamers play? Someone correct if I’m wrong please, console pleb here
Is this game fun on console? I was thinking about giving it a try, but im worried inventory management is going to be a massive pain with a controller. I did see it is on Xbox gamepass, which I have, so I figured I might as well give it a try! Just curious about other feedback on how the game plays on console compared to PC
Tips for today - grab them gloves and boots! The gloves allow you to safely quick slide down ladders with less of a chance to get cuts. And the boots have a difference in sound and wetness / potential injuries. Those camouflage shipping containers are all loot spawn locations… and you just found that in the video😂
Hold in your middle mouse button (scroll wheel) to zoom in, also you can click on things like this in your inventory to inspect things like vests to check their defensive attributes
1. Just a reminder u have only been to like 15% of the map. 2. ur base lasts forver until wipe or it gets raided (mainly for pvp servers) 3. when u play modded servers theres gonna b alot of teams with 3-8 people, so u might have 2 play with friends
A shovel, pickaxe, or gardening hoe will allow you to bury items. Sea Chests, Wooden Crates, Drybag Backpacks, Drybags, Cooking Pots, Protective Cases, and even Teddy Bears can be buried. IMPORTANT REMINDER: Once buried, the container of choice will automatically despawn after FOURTEEN days. In order to prevent this, you must dig up the container and re-bury it. The FOURTEEN day timer resets each time you do this. You can sharpen pickaxes, so they’re great for this. Two other notes: You can stash crates in shallow water and most won’t find them. If you cut down a large tree, then bury your container on the ground where the tree WAS standing, the tree will respawn at the next server reset directly on top of your buried stash (hiding it almost completely). Cool method and very effect but a bit time consuming.
Loving the DayZ content BigT, if you want to have more player interactions, no base servers are the way to go. Servers with bases tend to have more players that just camp in the safety of their base until someone passes by that they can snipe.
I could be wrong ive never played DayZ but in the buildings an things on the walls it looks like white medicine cabinets. I wonder if you can open them an get medical supplies from those
Look up DeathMatch in the community and you can practice with every gun in the game and find the guns for your liking. The Bizon is good but it definitely requires you to hit almost every shot to be effective. 90% accuracy won’t work. But, if you have the jump on someone, it’s definitely dangerous.
Buried items last 7 days, crates not buried last 45 days for your stashes. Best way is find some thick trees away from anywhere important & hide crates. Need nails, ax / hatchet, saw.
SCUM is DayZ on crack. It's only in beta phase or maybe even alpha. .95 version is out now. More guns, modular cars and planes, more zombies, suicide vest zombies, mechs guarding the insane loot bunkers, a metabolism system, amazing base building, NPCs, better game mechanics, you're a prisoner dropped on this zombified island being recorded for public entertainment. The more you craft, more you loot, and more you kill gains you points that then unlock certain things at the traders. Very interesting man and the devs are great for a smaller team.
I’d suggest if your having trouble with hackers to play the DayOne server Willy. Plenty of streamers play it with minimal stream snipers and little to no hackers

You should watch some TH-cam vids to learn things it will really help there’s a lot to learn! Like you can fill water bottles up at a well which is clean water but you can also use a stream or pond but you have to combine it with a chlorine tablet to clean it!
Oh also, ONLY ON SOME SERVERS. NOT ALL OF THEM. You can take those camo nets and put them in your hand and use a knife on them to make a ghillie suit type thing. Reiterating that this isn't on every server.
That there is a base BigT. You raid it my doing any kind of damage to its walls and doors. On modded servers you can only destroy the doors not the walls, but the only way you can destroy modded server walls are by using raid explosives which are found by winning events like King of the Hills and Care Packages!
