Woo! My favorite Friday night cooking show 🎉 dinner tonight looks really good! I love to order Tangcurou! Salt and pepper spare ribs and hot and sour soup. Oooh so many really good dishes. Have a good weekend you guys and thank you for sharing.
I am just loving your Friday night dinners (aswell as all your vlogs), you two are just lovely to watch and make a great team. Thanks for the dinner inspiration!!
I always look forward to these videos of you two. I enjoy watching people cook delicious food in the kitchen together and being able to work without getting in each other's way. Been watching the channel for awhile now and I've actually made a few recipes. Very enjoyable. If you guys are looking for series to watch: Better Call Saul (highly recommend since you guys watched Breaking Bad; it's basically before Saul before breaking bad) If you want another good series that are comedy: The Good Place, Parks and Rec and Dead Like Me. I also watch Dinosaurs (Jim Henson TV series, i believe its currently on Hulu and Apple +) whenever I need some nostalgia and a good laugh.
You guys are literally the best couple ! I love how calming you both are ! Deep Purple ! Wow , great old school band ! I’m 58 and grew up with that music ❤.Love watching you both and your food is the nuts !!!!😂🎉❤
Ooooh, this is a great one!! Our order is ALL the starters (literally) with wor wonton soup and hot and sour soup. I look forward to Friday night dinners every week! Thanks for some damn good content!!
5 inches of snow here Chuck so it's not feeling spring like yet.😁 What a perfect feast! All my favorites. I think I heard Gus mutter something about stingy.......(insert swear word here)😂😂Have a great weekend.
Favorite Chinese dish is sesame chicken and definitely egg rolls, hot & sour soup. We also enjoy sesame orange "chicken"...it's actually mushrooms. A great vegan Chinese spot. Cheers! Love the 🍷! Shout out DEEP PURPLE❤
The maroon colored Sichuan peppercorn is my favorite! But it’s gotta be the ones that are smuggled in from the homegrown and handpicked batch right from my hometown in Sichuan 🤤
I love your joint cooking vids. My order from the local Chinese restaurant varies between favourites such as sweet & sour king prawns, Peking duck, salt & pepper squid, or Kung Po prawns. For sides, I'll have either an egg roll or, sweetcorn soup, or prawn toast, or roasted seaweed. Right now I'm loving roast chicken and beansprouts with steamed rice. My absolute favourite indulgence is to order their mixed starter platter, which is a little bit of everything from their appetiser menu. Nothing else, just that lol
You both are so delightful to watch! Such real, down-to-earth peeps 😁 I'm not a sports watcher, nor do I watch many shows on Netflix, but I do enjoy American Idol or America's got Talent! I DO adore Chinese takeout, and some of my faves are: Crispy fried half chicken, EXTRA spicy broccoli w/garlic sauce, classic wonton or hot & sour soup, egg rolls, and when I'm dining in a restaurant, I LOVE classic sweet & sour chicken, General Tso chicken, roast pork lo mein, egg foo young, and shao long bao (soup dumplings). Your homemade "takeout" looks fabulous. Love your Friday night dinner "series" 🍽️ Oh and Happy 🌱 probably my first thing I'd like to do would be to visit Coney Island 🎢 🎡 ⛱️ (officially opens tomorrow!) but the weather is gonna be shitty with HEAVY 🌧️ 😑 Stay Blessed and see you next week 😁✌️🗽
Hey guys!!! I too really enjoy watching you guys on Friday nights…. I’d love to see your pantry and find out what you all think are staples and also where do you get your spices and seasonings???
Salt and chilli chicken wings, Singapore rice, griddled pork and chive dumplings with vinegar and ginger dip, Beef Ho Fun. The rice and noodles last for 2 meals.
Looks amazing! Can you guys make Korean Fried chicken. New series if you haven’t seen Tehran on Apple. Pretty good show. Lots of suspense. Also, what’s the name of the orange wine?
Better call Saul is a great follow up to BB. We are pretty simple with our Chinese…lo mein, General Tsao..egg drop soup and egg roll…lol. You guys rock!! 👋🇨🇦
It’s Saturday rainy day afternoon and I’m like OMG I missed the C & H(and Gus) Friday night show! Wow so many good questions, lol. I remember a cook who used to much white pepper in her soups..Vs black pepper, I find it spicier. God rest her soul❤.
I feel like Egg Fu Young is such an underrated dish with the delicious omlete with different filling meat or seafood topped with gravy. But what i would order from chinese restaurant beef abd broccoli, sweet and sour pork, chow mein with any meat, salt and pepper fish or calamari, fried rice, chicken salad. i would I order different dishes depending on how I felt or what tge craving was.
Your homemade Chinese fast food looks amazing! Better Call Saul is a must watch. I watched this first, then Breaking Bad bc I couldnt get into the latter. I like law/legal-ish shows lol
Hi! But where do you score all those statement t-shirts, girl? I have just started the adic to these fridays dinner shows and need def. the recipe of the wontons-like with Phily cheese fylling!
My go to is Sweet & Sour Chicken, chicken fried rice and/or veggie lomein and Egg Drop or Hot and Sour Soup! Classic! & You cannot go wrong with the chicken wings, my man gets those, often! Edit: totally hilarious about the internet button clicking 😂😂😂
I remembered another question to answer; “Better call Saul” is a great series which I believe is a spin off or prequel to breaking bad? Also I liked the series “good girls”.
AI generated recipe for Sesame Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, and Crab Rangoon based on the video: Sesame Chicken Marinate boneless, skinless chicken thighs in a mixture of cornstarch, sesame oil, soy sauce, rice wine, white pepper, and fresh ginger for at least 30 minutes. Dredge the chicken in a mixture of flour, cornstarch, mushroom powder, white pepper, and salt. Fry the chicken in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. To make the sauce, whisk together some of the leftover marinade with additional soy sauce, rice vinegar, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and brown sugar. Heat the sauce in a pan until it thickens, then add the cooked chicken and toss to coat. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced scallions. Egg Drop Soup Make a chicken stock with water and dried mushrooms. Beat eggs in a bowl. Slowly add the beaten eggs to the hot chicken stock, whisking constantly to create thin strands of cooked egg. Season with turmeric and white pepper. Crab Rangoon In a bowl, combine lump crab meat, cream cheese, scallions, salt, and pepper. Place a small amount of the filling in the center of a wonton wrapper. Brush the edges of the wrapper with water and fold it over to create a triangle shape. Seal the edges by pressing down with a fork. Fry the rangoons in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. Serve with sweet chili sauce for dipping. Additional Notes The video suggests steaming broccoli as a side dish.
