Anyone great at anything has mastered fundamentals. Ray starts talking about angles and I can already tell what he's going to say.
Any defensive back knows that the sideline is your friend. On that first play, the DB takes the angle on the outside hip instead of the inside hip. That touchdown could have been avoided if he maintained inside leverage.

Kaep was an average QB, at best, when he made his choice to be a political advocate, so it made it easy for all NFL owners, coaches, and GMs to want nothing to do with him. So teams "figuring out Kaep" was the MAIN reason he isn't playing, followed by his infamous political choices. And it's okay pal, he's just making an assessment. . . he doesn't need any excuses regardless of how the Eagles perform next year because he didn't say anything definitive, hence the word "looks" used multiple times in reference to the Eagles.

At this point, they might as well make the full transition to flag football. The concern over injuries has changed the game beyond recognition, so just go all in with pulling flags and stop all further pretense. Stop putting referees in the impossible position of nonstop player protection. Stop humiliating the integrity of the sport with the most horrendous tackling displays in NFL history. As a Baltimore fan, I really wanted to see a close Ravens vs Eagles SuperBowl this year. A lot like the Orioles Vs Phillies World Series of 1983 in which I wasn’t alive during. The I-95 corridor would be freakin nuts. I’ve never seen a team collapse harder than this Philly team. The 2020 Steelers maybe, but that’s it. Both Pennsylvania teams. Oh well, I don’t really care as long as the Ravens really have a shot to sun it all. That’s all that matter man. But I would be lying to myself if I said it wouldn’t of been really cool to see a Ravens vs Eagles SuperBowl this year. It would’ve been awesome, especially in the area I live in. Maybe in the future one day. As for now, and most importantly, Go Ravens.

This is one reason why Sean Mcdermott has such an amazing defense in Buffalo year after year, even with all their devastating injuries time and time again. You NEVER see the Bills tackling with just one guy unluess they are blowing someone up in the backfield or something. The Bills will swarm you with 2 or 3 guys the moment you touch that ball. It actually almost backfired on them on the Toney play when they all went after Kelce to secure the tackle and Kelce lateraled it out of nowhere. They corral and swarm and hand off.

Thats the Matt Patricia curse. For 7 consecutive years he has trashed every team he has be a part of
Patricia bin laden is a football terrorist, not even Urban Meyer's players popped off on him the way Patricia's former players have, with Slay being one of the most vocal during their overlap in Detroit.
The problem it's even the same problems. He didn't learn from his mistakes with the Lions.
He went to a playoff caliber team (Pats)and said, "Screw all of you end everything you do, we're doing it my way." He doesn't fit his scheme to the players, he forces the players to fit into his "Cunning Ultimate Masterplan".
He turned a capable 4-3 into a crap 3-4 with a scheme designed to funnel runners directly into the slow as big as as a truck MLB Tavai. Screw the pass rush and leave the DBs on an island. He changed everything not because he thought it was better, but because he only runs things his way.
An absolute failure to even run what he's trying to focus on and everything else, like "passrush and pass coverage" just get left on the table. He asks players to just "adapt" to the holes in his scheme and calls them all stupid for not keeping up with the defensive genius
How people even consider him a servicable option at this point is beyond me. But hey the Eagles had 7 years of failure, player testimonials, owner testimonials, and history to reference and still opted to hire Patricia bin Laden. They made their bed, time to enjoy laying in it.

I can see Rays point. But in today's football every good hit from a defender gets a flag so this is what we got. I'm surprised we don't see even more defenders getting hurt doing everything humanly possible to avoid having any helmet contact on a moving target. And if they even look hard at a QB out comes the flags. It's an all offense only league. Yet I do not recall them dropping a flag when an offensive player lowers the helmet and plows for extra yards. Rules should work both ways.
