Also, damn, I'm not surprised Optimus is old, but I was surprised that Bulkhead and Wheeljack are both that old, and that the Wreckers themselves are that old.
I do wonder though... how old is Cybertronian history? How many cycles/years passed between the end of the Era of the Primes and the beginning of the Great War?
All this makes it seem like Cybertronian history might not be that old... but then again, much of it is probably just a summary of what happened in abbreviated time, while the actual amount of time passed could be millions of years.
I do wonder though if Cybertron is older or younger than Earth... I mean, it must be older, since Unicron is the core of the Earth, and Cybertron did exist before Unicron left to be in slumber...
I'm also wondering, though, if, since Earth and Cybertron are probably a whole galaxy away (if only Cybertron being at the other end of the galaxy), time is different between Earth and Cybertron?
What I mean is, it takes a very long time to travel through space, even just to get to Mars from Earth, like months or maybe even a couple of years. It would take decades just to get to Pluto, I think.
I'm wondering if the Space Bridges on Cybertron and linked to other worlds, is somehow like a time machine as well as a dimensional portal.
Even though the video games are only pseudo-canon, in Fall of Cybertron, an image of Earth is shown, and I believe it was during the dinosaur times, probably also why Shockwave got the Lightning Strike Coalition to turn into Dinobots, perhaps with data from primal Earth. Days later, the Autobots and Decepticons leave Cybertron and go into space, I think heading for Earth, maybe.
I'm not sure when they arrived on Earth, but I don't think it's like in G1 where they arrive 4 million years before the show starts. At the very least, they arrived in the 80s, maybe a bit before, but...
Anyways, what I mean is, even though their space ships travel fast, the time used to travel between Cybertron and Earth must have been millions of years in distance, even if their actual travel time is only some centuries or millennia.
I'm not really sure how time works during space travel, but I can imagine more time passes than it feels.
Like, when they take off from Cybertron and (maybe) head for Earth, it's during Earth's prehistory, but when they arrive, it's during the 1900's (I think).
I'm probably wrong, I just thought it was interesting to think about...
I'm pretty sure Cybertron has Spaceship technology similar to in star wars where they have light speed drives and can Light Speed travel. In Tf Prime Megatron (Unicron) went from Earth to Cybertron in a short amount of time. And they also have Space Bridge technology so they could also just open a portal to go where they want instead of travelling the full distance.
In answer to your question about spacebridges, the way sentinel prime described it in dark of the moon (ignore the fact it's the wrong continuity) is that spacebridges have the ability to reshape the universe.
The best way to visualize this is to take a sheet of paper and draw two dots apart from eachother. Then fold the sheet of paper in half so that you can then stick the pencil through both dots. The paper represents the universe and the pencil is the spacebridge. What you've done is you've joined two places in the universe that could be lightyears apart but are now so close that it only takes seconds to go from A to B.
If you're interested, search "Einstein Rosen Bridge". It's basically the technical name for a wormhole and is pretty much how I believe a spacebridge works

No. The bots are litterally ancient by our standards. The Autobot/Decepticon war started during Ancient Egypt.
These robots are litterally immortal, which is why you have prehistoric bots like Orion pax still functioning in modern day.

Question! Is cybertron like corusant in star wars where it has multiple levels that go hundreds of kilometers down? And why does it look like it's full of holes?
I’ve played the Cybertron games and it does have multiple layers. You can even go as deep to the core of cybertron in the games.
And it looks like it has holes probably because the planet is damaged from war lol.

Ok, I have a serious question that has been bugging me for a while. I read the IDW megaton origin comic and somewhere in the story they mentioned that Cybertron had houses of nobility. I’m just really confused on how nobility would work in terms of succession. Cybertronians don’t reproduce like humans, so would they have bot forged created specifically to take over once the head of the house died? This had been nagging at me for so long and I wanted to know what you think.
Since they don't die off all the time from old age, I suppose the odd time the head does die, they choose anyone they are close to. It wouldn't be a blood thing but a title?
