I’m 68 and wanna drive home before dark now 😮 I spent decades working shifts and driving in daylight, dark and all weathers …..it’s ok Stephanie, we have done our bit 😂 Love you and your channel.. Thank you.. Just do what we are comfortable with ☺️👍💕🧵Xxx
I don't think you are a lazy sewer but one who wants instant gratification. I am not a winter person and I want spring to come quickly...especially after getting 2 inches of snow this week in mid Georgia plus the temps were so low that it stayed for 3 days...but I am pretty much a home body...since I have entered the 70's home is where I am the most...we have to travel 20 to 30 minutes to the big stores and even further to the best shopping. I usually plan to make a few stops after an appointment but end up just coming home... I truly enjoyed your sharing and chatting...almost as good as in person. Many blessings
I'm still catching up from Christmas! Trying to watch all the sewing videos I've missed. I have a lot of volunteer activities, too, especially at church, which are my favorite, but it means things don't happen at home. I'm a very slow sewer/sewist so I really don't get as much done as I hope to! I used to be out all the time, too - my sister said I had a "gas a$$," because I was always driving somewhere - now I don't really want to go out because I want to sew. A friend of mine (a retired lawyer and nurse) and I were laughing about how we had turned into the little old church ladies who "only drive at night to go to choir practice" 🤣
Same, same same same same. Lazy sewer and where is spring? It'll be here sooner than later for me. But bring on the warm weather! Glad you got some (window) shopping in and nothing compares to service. You're such an extrovert it's no wonder. You'll have more sewing in no time. And you're so funny - I'd be ripping out that neckline in a second, you just make another one! I think I like your method more . . . xoxoxoxox
You funny girl! I am also a lazy sewist! I avoid complicated patterns and im also a step skipper. For some reason I alwas think I know an easier way..WRONG!!! Cant wait till you get back to sewing and hopefully we see some pretty daffodils out your window. Have a great weekend!!❤
You crack me up! I love, love, love staying home and sewing and just puttering. Only thing that I like leaving the house for is to visit my grandchildren. Must be the phases of life we go through. Love your videos!
I’m a homebody, too. Also a lazy sewer! Lol 😆 and yes, I often kick myself because it “coulda been better” if I didn’t take shortcuts. I like things fast, tho. Years ago I worked at a “sweatshop” full time, sewing clothing, and lemme tell ya-it’s ALL about shortcuts! There is no pinning or measuring…the faster you go, the better! I learned a lot of bad habits there! Lol 😆 BTW, I love the tshirt and hoodie-hugs you made. The color is beautiful. If I can ever clear off my cutting table, I’d like to make another hoodie-hugs. I love your pattern; it fits my body. Have a great week! ❤
I used to love going to Daffodil Hill. So sad it’s no longer open to the public. Here in the Netherlands, we’ve loads of daffodils and tulips. You’d love early Spring here. Snow bells are blooming now. Then crocus, daffodils, iris & tulips. Spectacular.
I’m not a clothing sewer but love your channel. I have been looking at patterns but haven’t found what I want. I am a quilter/machine embroider and fast doesn’t really work for me. My quilting friend goes fast…very fast! She is always calling to ask what went wrong!! My sewing room is a loft. I’m taking full advantage of the cool weather and sewing like crazy. Too hot in the summer unless it’s very early morning or an all nighter! Right now I don’t want to leave home either! Sorry I wrote a short book! Would love to sit and visit with you!!❤️
I returned to basting after watching Karina's videos - so much easier for certain areas where pins or clips get in the way, such as adding cuffs or neckbands. In fact every time I make something I check on whether Karina has made it. I guess I'm 'lazy' but is is just procrastination, or is that the same thing? I sometimes trace the pattern one day, cut out the fabric the next day, make a start sewing the next day, etc. etc. I've been making a coat since the beginning of December. I prefer being home, and I hate being out in the car when it's dark.
I have that pattern and need to make it now! Haaaa! You're so funny Stephanie 😂😂😂! It snowed here once in a century so we've been snowed in here in South Carolina.
Great to see you back Stephanie, I followed the neckband tutorial and basted and still somehow my join was off centre 😮 I looked at a ready to wear vneck band and they hadn't joined it but overlapped it at the front so might try that next time!
You make me laugh...☺️!! I have those same moments... "Squirrel!..." and then you're on to another subject. I also make the same things over and over... it's my choice so who cares. Not lazy! 🤗 Sounds like you've been busy. Enjoy whatever. So glad to see you! 😍 Can't wait to see what you make next!🌻🌹🌼💕💐🥳
We went to Daffodil Hill a couple of times. It feels like spring, but we have a chance of snow this weekend. Hopefully we get it since we haven't really had a winter yet
I am right there with you I used to love to be out and about all the time. Now days I want to stay home all the time, I went out one day this week and was going to stop at several places, when I would get close to the store I’d said I don’t really want to go there and just drive on. I guess I’m in my old lady mode too I just want to go home.🤷🏼♀️

Stephanie, you always have interesting things to talk about, and we just love visiting with you. I can't wait to see the daffodils.

Isn’t it nice to feel well enough and to have the energy to be on the go!
10:29 🤗 I love watching you no matter what ❤
Oh, I love daffodils!
Glad to see you back, Stephanie. Have a great weekend and give Buster a pat on the head for me. Thank you. ❤🙏❤

That t-shirt pattern is my favorite, too. I've never made the v-neck--too lazy. Love your vidoes--you're always so real and funny

Ps…your hair looks FAB! It’s the first thing I noticed! (Besides the crooked V neckline….lol 😆 JK!)
After 60 years of sewing, I started basting bc of Katrina and “Lifting Pins and Needles”. My genetic personality is more like yours. 😂

I think so many of us can relate 😅!
I'm with you about being home! Love your tee shirt story as I skip items too! I will check out Pins & needles sounds interesting.
Karina is amazing.

I’m in the same stage and phase!! ❤️
You are describing me to a tee❤
I haven’t sewn in a year (cancer treatments) but I’m about ready to get back to it. I have learned to baste a LOT from Lifting Pins and Needles!
