For some of the tourists, and it doesn't matter where they go, they think they can do whatever they want and have fun however they want. It's not their country, it's their vacation spot where they can go wild.

It depends entirely on the individual.
Some people don't respect the rules, ecosystem and culture - most try their best once they are helped to understand the unfamiliar.
The bigger problem overall is prejudice - a real problem arises when people are judged for their appearance or accent and not their individual choices.
That kind of prejudice is a barrier to empathy and communication which would actually help fix the problem.

In Mexico City the way they solve the litter problem is by having a cleaning force out even at night time. I don't like littering but I could not find any garbage can to drop my litter so I had to drop it on the sidewalk. There are roving teams of cleaners with browns and carts to place the garbage. The money Bali is making from tourism littering should be the least of their problems. They can easily hire people with browns and carts to rove around tourist areas to clean up. No one force Bali to change its culture. Men still wear dresses there. And lots of them work in the hospitality industry. Obviously these people in the video do not work in hotels or restaurants that depend on tourism.

The first girl looks Filipina. As for following rules I wish the taxi drivers would. In going to the airport the taxi driver I flagged down let me put my luggage in the trunk then started driving. I asked him to put on the meter. He said it's not working. I said if you're meter is not working you should tell me upfront or not use the taxi with a broken meter. I really detest this type of behavior. I then asked him to let me out so I can flag down a taxi with a meter that works. All of a sudden he changed and quoted me a more reasonable fare. When you arrive at the Bali airport it's not so bad. There are different zones with the prices shown on the wall. It's going back to the airport that is where they might try to rip you off. So before you get into any taxi you hail ask the driver if the meter works. If you still want to ride then agree upfront with a fixed price.

I pray this place continues to bring happiness and peace with the rewards of such good deeds to follow.

If you just appreciate the culture, don’t litter, wear a helmet while driving, don’t step on the little green baskets, etc. they love you. But if you just go there and treat it like a playground, they despise you. They especially hate tourists who try to sleep with their women.

It always makes me so upset at how rude foreigners can be here. They ride motors and hit other people because they can't drive, they're loud and often drunk, and sometimes they just open too much clothing. I read about a German woman who was flashing her p*ssy to people. Especially when they go to lombok. Lombok is mostly Muslim, and they dress so scandalous and treat it as a party area, but it's not. They litter and are sometimes generally rude to the people in Indonesia.

I honestly believe that locals help a location give it's character, culture and charms. When you take that away you're essentially turned the place into an amusement park.

This is sad. Can we please be more respectful as outsiders? We do not own their land, we are just visitors so we must abide by their rules, respect their culture. Let's not even try to influence them into changing their mindset. The differences in our culture and mindset are what makes every country unique and beautiful. Not everything should be westernized.

I honestly think a lot of the people there even prefer outside cultures more. It's really sad, but I've seen it a lot in South East Asia. Everyone wants to be like Koreans, Japanese, Europeans etc..

As a Bali, I don't think everyone hates outsiders who visit, but how come they make noise and don't take part in programs such as when they can return to their country and that has been shown a lot in Bali because in Indonesia it has been seen that many tourists don't following Bali customary rules and playing around like wearing only a bra and pants on the streets on motorbikes and not obeying Bali driving regulations and also yesterday we heard that there were tourists who climbed into traditional traditional dance venues wearing only bras and pants and forced their way into the sacred hall like a place of worship it really makes the heart as a Bali sad and annoyed and start to hate tourists and a bit angry even though I know it's only part of it but there's a lot of chaos made by tourists I as an Indonesian want to ask that please comply with government regulations so as not to be sent back to the country if you really want to visit Bali Indonesia and please respect the traditions that exist in Bali
