- What a blast last night (8/21/2023) playing a few Van Halen songs at the Chevy Metal (Shane Hawkins, Wiley Hodgden & Brent Woods) show with special guest Dave Grohl at Rock & Roll Pizza, Simi Valley, CA!
Dave Grohl not even trying to steal the spotlight in the least. Just out there playing for the love of music. Love that guy.
for real there's not too many like grohl u don't have to like his music but he definitely deserves the respect

As a massive VH fan this is fantastic and brought a smile to my face. Taylor will be looking down and smiling big time (as he was also a massive VH fan!) Younger drummers please note Gregg played for the song and replicated the part (even though one of the fairly simple drum parts by the legendary Alex Van Halen). These guys are clearly like us...they do it for the love not just the money! Thanks for sharing Gregg! RIP Eddie and Taylor.

I'm sure you get this all the time bro, but I saw you 30 something years ago behind Steve and Billy with DLR - Eat Em and Smile in Rochester. Man I haven't thought about that show in along time, I don't know how many times I've bragged to friends about seeing you three together straight killing it.
