In my opinion, old tanks should be handed over to FC, rather than scraping them and it should be used by DC in trouble areas or where they are deployed.

I hope VT4's engine has been extensively tested. Chinese tank engines are known for failure under extreme temperatures. Getting 2 KM close to target doesn't look practical considering enemy's weapons. Should develop some more mobile platform with longer range. Some more power rockets to destroy columns of armour vehicles.
Pak army is very good at evaluation..... You don't need to worry
@@shacklesunlocked-eb9qr I guess the worry is that all Chinese options including planes, helicopters, tanks and other stuff have been getting rejected for long time. Now that absolutely nobody is willing to sell us, all of a sudden they are acceptable. You can argue improvement of Chinese technology over time but its a fact if given a choice we will still opt for western equipment.

India has crashed more then half of it while Pakistan has a very good safety record.... Pakistan army never compromises on quality ...
@@shacklesunlocked-eb9qr F-7 PG is is upgraded version which also had its own crashes. India operates a much bigger fleet and yes their attrition record might be worst than ours.
Chinese tanks failed in 1971 where they left abandoned in deserts. Chinese stuff has been below average in the past. They may have shown improvement in last 10-15 years but that has yet to be proven. I do happen to have prejudice against Chinese stuff since their strategy revolves around mass production. Pakistan should form alliance with Turkey, Ukraine and other countries in the same category.
@@faisal-ca exactly keep this in mind that in trials oplot p(BM) outclassed Vt4 in all aspects but was disqualified for acquisition as ukraine is under going economic instability especially after the crimean annexation and russian ban on selling their tank engines,armour to european counterparts
Main reason was pak alkalaid, t80ud where not matching indian T90s and T90ms and Arjun tanks so they desperately wanted a better tank. India soon going to but armata tanks in future.

Even if AL KHALID production rate was really high. We still would have gone for VT 4. And there is no way that Pakistan would only induct 300 VT 4 Tanks. In my opinion number would be around 800 VT 4 Tanks. As for AK II development, Pakistan should bring Turkey in for AK II development.
