I know this lawyer is gentle, and it is appreciated, but why the neverending useless questions and repetition. I could not imagine having the patience for all this if my baby was deceased.
He is detailing the many basic areas of responsibility that are involved in caring for an infant. It's possible that someone on the jury has no children, and would need to hear exactly what is involved - but even if it all seems obvious, the point of describing infant care in detail is to establish for the record that in the course of 5 hours there should have been many interactions with the baby. Not once did it occur to the defendant that she hadn't done any of it.
some ppl use the description of bad to mean crying and fussing all the time and typically difficult to look after, they're not really bad, but ppl do refer in that way.
