@@realchefboyardee1640 They dropped something with a large surface area onto something with a small surface area that's harder than it. It's basically the same as hitting something with a hammer.

Dropping the unstoppable force of Bruce on the immovable object of Slick the cube and having the _metal plate_ being broken through is a hilarious plot twist
What you need is a new dart: Solid steel on the bottom half with tungsten in the tip and aluminum in the top half. This way the tip is the heaviest and it won’t tilt sideways in the air. You could use a tungsten cube angled to use one of its corners as the tip, encased in the solid steel part of the dart. The top half could be a steel shell and used as a mold to dump molten aluminum into to add weight while keeping the center of gravity near the tip.
For that short of a drop it would need far more aerodynamic balancing than the steel fletching their large dart. Something as heavy as that would need a drogue or pilot chute, perhaps a meter or more in area, tied to the center of the tail. To be honest, even their large dart is not adequately balanced aerodynamically for that short of a drop, and it doesn't help that the tail is all mangled up causing uncoordinated flight. A chute is soft and can withstand impact, as well as easily replaced on site as needed. It won't slow it down much at all in a 40m drop, as it would still be accelerating and wouldn't even be close to approaching terminal velocity before impact. The less viable options are to bolt on grid fins like what's used on the MOAB and SpaceX boosters, or simple retarding petals like on a snake eye bomb. Furthermore, for the tungsten penetrator tip, it would be better for the tungsten to encase the steel rather than the steel encase the tungsten. In other words, the steel section would fit into the tungsten as opposed to the tungsten fitting into the steel. This allows the tungsten to do all of the hard work and protect the softer steel body. Tungsten tip penetrator ammunition is not made in this way simply because the parent projectile is designed to be mostly sheared off, leaving only the tungsten to do the work of piercing through hardened armor. Great for single use high velocity ammunition, not so great for a low velocity reusable dart. As for filling with aluminum, sure, if the body is hollow and not solid steel. It would be more about strength than balance though, as an aluminum filled steel tube won't be substantially lighter, aerodynamically speaking, than a solid steel body...but it will be nearly as strong as a solid steel body. The strength will come from the steel, and the aluminum is there to prevent compressive forces from deforming the steel and causing weak points. Not a good idea to pour molten aluminum in the steel tube though, the difference in thermal expansion between the two metals will leave the aluminum undersized when it cools and no longer a tight fit in the body. Better to machine a billet of aluminum to the size of the tube and press it in. Of course, a solid steel body will be stronger and heavier, and with proper aerodynamic balancing, it won't matter about mass balancing.

Do you have an ad blocker? Or maybe you live in a location that doesn't have ads? I get 5+ ads per video and never randomly.
Names aside, when you’re done with the cube maybe you can give it to Alec to see if he can forge anything from it. Just a thought.
That is a damn good idea
Bruh tungsten the highest melting point on the periodic table it would be nearly impossible
@@zacdonofrio5970 it means he can pump out a few videos
Yeah, then after he's spent hours on it send it all the way back to only be used in one vid! What a waste
@@rewanvanpletzen8415 its basically literally impossible to melt tungsten
you cant even melt tungsten and keep it from spreading out because the crucible which is meant to hold tungsten will melt before the tungsten
it has a melting point of 6,192 °F or 3,422 °C

They should just call the cube “Chuck Norris”
@Desert Smeagol hes not dead
Cube Norris
but it does not look stupid without facial hair.
Call it Tessie, short for Tesseract cuz I'm just waiting for Loki to show up and try to steal it
I second "Tessie"
Stolen
RIP Nigel!! 😢 How good is that slowie though!!
Not trying to add insult to injury, but.... “well that’s not in one piece anymore!”
@@TylerPCoyne lul I was waiting for that clip but I guess they were too sad
How ridiculous should really have a collab with dude perfect

Seeing as the mega dart is already in need of servicing, it would be cool to see what it could do if you guys had a tungsten tip put on it!
I like where your mind is at. I had the same idea and was about to post it when I saw that you beat me to the punch.
Damn it, I posted that and seen this right after.
The more the merrier 🤙🏻
Wouldn’t it simply break away at its attachment point to the dart? Now, a dart made out of solid tungsten....the boys might find magma.😂
@@canyonrider493 Lord help us all if there’s ever a solid tungsten dart of this size, especially in their hands lmao. As far as the durability of mating a tungsten alloy to whatever steel the rest of the dart is made of, I really don’t have the knowledge to say. If they were to have a tungsten tip shrink fitted to the shaft of the dart I would guess that it would hold up until the shaft of the dart bends
"The Die"
As in, singular for dice, but ALSO what it makes things do!
i like this
@@HeartlesssGaming I thought it had potential! They could paint it all white, with black or red pips.
They could make a game of wagering on which side will land up!
@@alden1132 wow that's an incredible idea actually
@@HeartlesssGaming Thanks!
Nah

You heroes exposing all of that water in that savanah have briefly saved a micro civilization, good for you chaps x
I love how the cube hitting the water caused the tank to shatter. It's like the most epic belly flop.
I want to see tungsten cube vs. bulletproof glass aquarium.

Umm that's called Newton's law of motion literally in action. Or in the words of The second best fictional meth cook in the past century. Mr.. Jesse Pinkman " YEAH SCIENCE BITCH!!!
The Tungsten cube looked like a DBZ character after shrugging off some major attack and standing there while the dust clears when it killed Nigel.
The cube is actually in DBZ and it destroyed the Z sword releasing old Kai during Gohan's Kai training see he could defeat Majin Buu
Cube name: “Borgey” like the Star Trek Borg Cube
I waa thinking wall-e
I like borgey or just "the borg"
'Borgina' 💪😎👍
Yes

Give Bruce an upgrade from steel to tungsten.
get a hulk fist made out of tungsten. I'll happily donate to help crowdfund this insane idea of insanity
@Past Tense of Dig just carry it up, obviously
@Past Tense of Dig probably would depend on how much the winch is rated for and what strength the cable itself is rated for.
I was going to say tungsten dart vs tungsten cube or tungsten cube vs diamond
Why are you asking for the apocalypse?
@Past Tense of Dig Tungstun costs about $30 per kilo, so this hulks fist would cost around $22,500 in Tungstun, but a lot more with casting and machining it to be the right shape.
The cube beat Bruce. There's only ever been one thing that beat Bruce: Thanos.
true
then the cube is secretly Thanos
That's the trash marvel mcu , it would have gone different in the comics, hulk is not someone who gives up from being hit a few times
There can be only one name: Stanley or in full: Stanley Cubebrick!!!
(As already suggested in the last video ;) )
You guys moving up from the mega dart to Nigel was the equivalent of a villain in a show powering up, and the opponent not being impressed. You know the one who just powered up is about to get bodied. That cube wasn't taking no crap. R.I.P Nigel.
