I had a 4 bolt 400 block, 350 steel crank and a set of pink rods to build a street stock. But didn't have enough money to pull it off. I've never been good at the team thing. Couldn't ask for help.

Run whatever the heck you want, I'm an everything guy. I don't care if it's Ford, Chevy, or Mopar, but I would like to say one thing. The distributor is only in the front on big block Mopar engines. The small block looked like a small block Chevy. A bored and stroked 360 in the form of a 410 magnum would probably make a great race engine.
So you're big problem is mud hitting the distributor on a Ford or Mopar engine. A simple shield in front of the distributor solves this problem. Same with the carburetor. Claiming that you created the Big bore/Short stroke SBC engine is pretty wild. Dirt track racers were running that combination in the early 80s. However, you are right about front end weight causing plowing. Of course ballast solves this problem.
