Hey @Cephalopocalypse. An idea for the series: most characters have support weapon available as a starter. Step 1: Take support weapon for different characters that have it. Step 2: Go to any 6 harvesting wps as fast as possible. Step 3: Survive. Try to transition from there to whatever you can find in a shop e.g. rocket launcher, flamethrower or even regular spear. If it's too hard for that character, take something that works as a 6th slot. Step 4: Leave 2-5 support wps as long as possible, slowly changing them to something that works. I think it would be quite fun to see you balancing greed with survival.
The fun thing is I think most characters can actually stick with support weapons all the way through as long as you're buying defensive stats! We haven't rolled one yet but I'm looking forward to a hands build on something not pacifist. Love the suggestion :D
Thanks, I really appreciate that! One of the best compliments to get :) I definitely recommend brotato, it's cheap and cheerful but surprisingly deep, good for killing time - there's a mobile version as well
Literally any info on tags would be super appreciated. I'm new and am having troubles with some characters. Your videos really help. Thank you. Also, maybe a walk through from a fresh account would be interesting. How you'd go about unlocking your potatoes and the benefits of each one. I don't necessarily want to do 0 runs and sort of set a hard cap of 3. It would be cool to see a danger 5 walk through though.
My favorite candy is probably Twix, but I have a detestable hunger for table mints/wedding mints/etc. The little chalky things that melt in the mouth. Mmmm.....
0.47 attack CD means you will attack 1 fewer times every 20 seconds compared to the 0.46 attack CD. Technically it's lower but it's like borderline philosophical haha. You wouldn't notice the difference - that's for sure
Haha that guy really took me by surprise! And yeah you're right about the attack speed, it was less that I was worried about the damage and more that I was aghast that it could get worse as it levelled! That really threw me for a loop until people pointed out that it gains range
Hey man, posting under random video of yours just to be able to mingle, you said yourself its not that easy in TH-cam, hope it is alright, so this is unrelated to that video. Everytime I watch your videos (watched most of your Brotato guides and most randoms) when you meet Wisdom, you always say that it is a very inefficient item, as I remember your main argument is that you want to have your all power at the beginning, but you are minus 20. But the wave time is predefined, only with the bosses you want to have a powerful burst in the beggining, but most of the time, the longer you play the more enemies spawn, sometimes more powerful. And its nice to have a spare damage coming up to support you. For me its like "at 50% health your damage increases 30%" but on the wavetime scale. And psychologically it could be scary, but this is a posh item, you get it usually, when you are not that powerful, but you can feel you can afford buying some more. I just got it and I bought it and I am sure I did right :D
Yeah for sure! Comment anywhere :D I don't take Wisdom usually for exactly the reason you talked about - you really need that burst damage for elites. I think the most common way to lose is to not be able to kill an elite quickly, and then get overwhelmed by the rest of the enemies stacking up - Wisdom makes that much harder.
I’m enjoying the random random runs. Been doing it myself and got stuck on cyborg w wrench. Someone suggested it awhile back, did you ever do a video on strategy for the different elites?
Thanks, glad to hear it! I honestly found wrench cyborg really hard which is why I used screwdrivers in the guide. The video for different elites is still on the way, though since i need to actually edit together footage for the different fights it's a lot more work than a normal video and will be a bit still probably
I’m sure it’s a ton of work to do, but it’ll be really helpful. There’s a few that have ended my run quickly, especially when they show up in earlier waves
Spears upgrade well from 1-3, but the L4 upgrade actually kinda sucks; the 0.04 second cooldown reduction is more than offset by the animation lag from the +100 range "buff," and the Red spear actually attacks less frequently than Purple.
@@Cephalopocalypse Damn. I can't believe I didn't get that... Although, I'd argue there are hotter characters in the Star Trek universe, sadly "Spock" isn't a number
This series is so fun to watch, just like a box of chocolate, you never know what you'll gonna get.
Thanks so much! :D
Thanks for all the detailed Brotato videos, I've been watching a ton!
Hey, thank you so much for the support! That's super generous of you. Glad you're enjoying the videos!
Your level 4 spear attacked slower because it has 100 more range, and the "cooldown" stat factors both attack speed and range for melee weapons :)
Thanks! Yeah, I had somehow gone until now without realizing spears gain range as they level
@@Cephalopocalypse It's quite easy to miss, range modifiers are rather hard to notice in this game I feel like

Still loving these random x 2 runs!
Glad to hear it, thanks! :D
I've never played brotato ever before but this series is interesting and fun nontheless, I might have to try it myself when I can find the time!
Thanks, I really appreciate that! One of the best compliments to get :)

This is my favorite series of yours, so please continue it! Twix are my favorite candy, although I'm not a huge sweets person in general.
Thanks so much! And good choice :D
Nice to add another win, and with an unusual weapon for the farmer. Well done!
For sure, definitely glad to have hit 80%, that feels a lot better than 70 would have! Thanks :D
My favorite candy is probably Twix, but I have a detestable hunger for table mints/wedding mints/etc. The little chalky things that melt in the mouth. Mmmm.....
I will always take an embarrassingly large handful of mints on my way out of restaurants
I’m a dinosour candy lover! Always hit up bulk barb in my way to the movies haha
Gotta be clever smuggling it in though!
"I didn't think I would not be able to kill the ribcage guy before walking into him"
I like how your brain works sir

Would definitely love a character tag video!
Good to know! I think that will be coming fairly soon
Level 4 spear had 100 more range than level 3, so maybe at such high attack speed, the extra range makes it slow enough to be worse?
The range is the culprit indeed
I somehow have never noticed that spear range goes up as it levels

Actually I locked it, so you can change my mind while I am surviving on the 11th wave as multitasker with 9 sticks
Nah, died, it was a boss 11th wave.
Yeah for sure! Comment anywhere :D

I live in England, douse chocolate count as candy in American?
I'm not even sure I'd hit 90% in double random danger 2… 😅
90% was way too ambitious as I learned after trying Hammer Engineer :P
Love your content
Thanks so much! :D

Yep, I had somehow played this long without ever realizing spears gained range on level ups. Always more to learn!
The level 4 spear has 100 more range, thats why its slower.
Nevermind, someone already corrected you. Its fun to correct youtubers.
Cool!
Thanks!
Did blud say that 79 is the sexiest number? I guess that isn't "nice" but rather "kind"
Haha it's a Star Trek joke

Pocket factory may be my most favorite item
What's your favorite Potato to play as?
I like variety! I'm very greedy though so economic classes are probably my favorites
Ranger with only laser guns its impossible x.x
That will definitely be a tough one if we roll it!
